There was an incident back when the OoT wrong warp was discovered where he did a 10-hour stream trying to do the warp. He managed it something like twice out of 50 attempts. The stream ended with him stopping mid-run to argue with someone in chat which cascaded into a rant about how much of a massive strain on him it was to play oot 10 hours a day and how everyone should thank him for his effort and sacrifice and that people just didn’t understand. It was like listening to someone try to satirize a WW2 vet ranting about their service, except completely straightfaced and much more autistic.

I’m curious if anyone has this saved as I’d consider it the first real Narci moment and at the time it was so weird and out of character for him that it wound up getting clipped and floating around the speedrun community.

Watching the stream now, about 35 minutes in. Does anyone else thing it would be funny if Soylent had said the amount of their slop they shipped to zxchim was dependent on the number of views she got. So high views would mean adequate food supply, low views would mean starvation.

If that's the theory I'm thinking of it's more that people see super feminized men in media and grow up wanting to be like that because you internalize it if you see it young enough and it makes some sense, after all think about what you wanted to be when you were a kid and what you saw in TV. That said the theory falls down when you realize that there aren't enough twinks in anime to make you want to cut your dick off. More likely in my opinion is that it's something to do with soy.

Soy is so similar to human hormones that it is the basis for synthesizing artificial hormones like steroids, you remove 2 carbons and you have cholesterol and from there just two reactions gives you straight up 100% test. Underground labs like Dragon are pretty unsophisticated operations by pharmacological standards but they are more than able to do it, and it makes sense when you see the chemistry. For your comparison here's Estrogen net to a typical Typical Phytosterol found in soy both have the classic 4-ring structure of any steroid molecule. The thing is though your body isn't a steroid lab and will take the massive influx in cholesterol molecules and turn in into a minute increase in estrogen for reasons I won't go into here.

I definitely think there are some external and environmental factors at play in the current western world troon epidemic. It just doesn't seem normal. Definitely something in the water as it were. Narcissa is almost to trooning out as Chris is to autism, in that both are highly visible and well documented cautionary tales which could serve to inform others about the red flags and pitfalls of such afflictions.

It's also because media in general and popular culture absolutely hates men, likely making confused teenage boys and young socially awkward men wish they were anything but. The whole "egg" thing is a real thing, as we've seen in many threads here, and it's basically a cult at this point. Young impressionable people are being lied to, and once you've fallen into the trap it's probably too late to get out.

With that said, Rachel was a really important person in the TASing community. She was working on a TAS of Twilight Princess along with Pheenoh (at the time the games biggest runner) and was a developer for Dolphin, the GC/Wii emulator. The pro-trans advocates used her suicide as a tool to make them look like bullying victims. Yeah, apparently something about the HRT causes osteoarthritis. They don't look that old though, and as far as I'd known that symptom only manifests after a fair while. So my question is was it trooning related boneitis or was this just another case of speed-running related hand injuries?

I think there's a connection between the type of person who becomes a speedrunner and the type of person who becomes a troon. Speedrunners are usually not socially brilliant people, so speedrunning video games is an obviously appealling pastime to those who have difficulty interacting with others. It's an activity to which you can dedicate absurd amounts of time in which you have almost no direct contact or face to face interaction with other human beings.

So here you have a vulnerable person who is likely receptive to the kind of suggestion you mentioned. What if I were a girl instead of a boy? Would I be more popular? More accepted? More sexually desirable? Would people treat me with more kindness? And so often (due to wishful thinking) the answer to these questions seems to be 'yes' when the truth is an unbelievably emphatic 'no'. The grass is always greener. I wish there were a way to reach all these confused people and convince them not to dig themselves deeper into the life of an outcast by doing this stuff.
