Who gives a shit how fast someone can glitch through a game made 20 years ago

You're rating this guy mad but he's entirely right. Pretty sad that this guy's biggest achievement is the ability to glitch through a N64 game faster than other autists.

He's still a wreck, and will continue to be as long as he's a troon. It's natural law.

This reminds me how Spoony made a not good to the point of being shit vlog about The Last Jedi, but it was first video in years, so even his subreddit, that usually full of people, who criticize him, was all like "oh, Spoony is back", "first step" and shit like that. Surprise-surprise, now he is in even bigger shithole, that he was before. Why stop on him though? Andy Warski - was on steady decline, but then accepted challenge from Tonka and looked like a champ, when he didn't show up, but what's after that? Forever cemented himself as a bitch with his STAY THE FUCK BACK stream. Ethan Ralph - got martyred after being wiped by Jews from YouTube and was part of Tonka's downfall, but what next? Complete shitshow. Wings of Redemption - got his surgery and some of his trolls left him alone, but did it help? Nope, he is still begging for the money every day and getting fatter. Bryan Dunn - had an opportunity not to get back here after countless bans, but decided to and it's getting worse every time. The point is cows can't get better, to get better you need to stop being a cow first, otherwise even divine intervention would be temporary solution for you.

Well the troon community needs something to brag about. They're not exactly ending wars or creating alternatives to oil.

And hey, now that documentary that everyone forgot about has some ending material.

I dont understand this tbqh. They aren't playing the game. They are just trying to see how fast they can make it glitch out
That's the purpose of the any% category: get from the start of the game to the end as quickly as possible by any means necessary, even if the end result isn't as entertaining to watch. The runs that are more interesting to watch are 100% runs IMO because it requires that you obtain every item from its original source in the game, so you get to see the game played somewhat normally (with some glitches that allow for things like cutscene skips and faster movement), rather than fucking around in kokiri forest for a few minutes and suddenly you're at the end credits.

I love how people even assume that this will magically fix the guy. This record will do to Narci, what previous record did to Cosmo. Assuming, that it is real

I imagine this could turn Narci into a double-troon. After the soylent in her fridge cucks and leaves her, she goes one layer deeper into the shadow realm.

So instead of being ugly ghoul with a dick, who is pretending to be a girl, he is going to become just ugly ghoul with a dick, which was basically him before Numbers? Hm, maybe people who assume it's going to help him are not wrong after all. Fire with fire.

The point of a glitch any% speedrun is to get to the end as fast as possible via any means. A classic example before the arbitrary code execution era is the Pokemon Red/Green speedrun where you abuse a door glitch to get to the ending.

As you can tell from the video though what makes it more entertaining is the fact that the runner has a facecam on and is talking over it. When Narcissa was Cosmo, he wasn't a recluse. He was commentating with the facecam on over the playthrough.

ZFG did a nosource 100% run in under 40 minutes with ACE, speaking of that category

tl;dw ACE is broken as shit

It's probably only gonna make him worse when some autist beats his record. I don't expect it to last a few months, let alone the year, even if he's improving on his times rapidly right now. Every WR run is something for the next person attempting to pick apart. In reality he won't melty just from that and will go back to eating and crying on social streams.

Also to the autists complaining about how this "isn't a speedrun," this is exactly the reason Any% speedruns aren't cared about as much anymore. If you want to watch technically impressive feats of actually playing a game instead of warping to the credits, watch Any% glitchless or 100% runs. The latter is always gonna be the longer of the two.

EDIT: In my opinion, OoT Any% has been boring since they found the wrong warp glitch and ACE only makes it more so. It's practically a meme category at this point.

Yeah, I'm not big into speedrunning so maybe I just don't get it, but it feels like this is pushing the boundaries of what a speedrun is. Even exploiting a glitch to warp to the last encounter seems more valid to me. This isn't even that, it's exploiting a glitch to play a cinematic at the incorrect time.

Not that this ACE shit isn't fascinating though. I'm convinced the mega-autists in these challenge communities are going to accidentally discover some reality bending breakthrough in quantum physics in their efforts to try to beat Super Mario 64 only using the R button or whatever.

Beating Ganon is just making the same cinematic play at the correct time, why waste all that time when you can just ACE it?

I'll agree that 100% runs are more entertaining, but disagree on the reasoning, at least for zelda games. 100% runs are nowhere near normal gameplay, they glitch shit out almost as much as any%, all sliding around the map and hovering up walls and shit, glitching in fake items and doing nothing in order, but they do it consistently for hours, and that's what makes it interesting.

This new any% run is basically like the old pokemon 0:00 runs, it's kinda neat the first time you see it but it basically amounts to a single glitch, performed once, not obviously/apparently requiring any great deal of skill.
