Neil Breen - a thread about a rather infamous Filmmaker

His newest venture, Twisted Pair, is a great movie to watch. Two twins from outer space (? hard to tell where they come from honestly). One is Breen, the other is corrupt/immoral/betraying the public's trust. Fake beard on one Breen to distinguish. It actually makes more sense when you're drunk. People appear. People do things. People's scale changes dramatically. Impeccable green screen. Shot "at night." One of the twins has a failed dom-sub play where he breaks a framed painting gently against her head. All the actors are so stiff. Pure Breenius.
Yes, the incel rape fantasy scene where they involved a random homeless man in their sexual foreplay was one of my favorite Breen scenes ever

Breen is the only one of the holy trinity who I think continues to not be self aware ... If I read it correctly, he thinks people laugh and meme because he's not quite "there" yet, and the next movie (... and then the next one ... and then the next one...) will be legitimately good.
Unpopular opinion time, the only movie he's made that hasn't been legitimately good is Double Down. Pass Thru is his best movie, the rest are all good.

I love how he feels the need to say "this is not a documentary of the making of his five films." There's just something subtly deranged about that. I can't put my finger on it, but I love it. "That would take hours and hours and hours." Neil, it's called editing.

I would, but last I read, he still hadn't fixed his website. From what I know, any time you ordered something, you always got Fateful Findings. Apparently fans over on his facebook page pointed it out, but instead of actually paying someone who knows how to code to fix it (maybe he could only pay in tuna cans), he just told people they had to add brackets and a bunch of other things so the correct title gets shipped out.

I just discovered Breen this week. His films are simultaneously hilarious and creepy. I think the guy obviously has autism and mental health problems of some kind. I think there's probably a dark side to him and some day we will find out he is a Travis Bickle type loner. It's bizzare how he always shows his heroes hypnotising people into suicide.

I'd say his views are a bit out of touch and he doesn't understand the process of film making to create a cohesive story but I'd need a bit more proof that he has actual mental problems. Harmlessly oblivious is more likely.

I remember reading an article where they interviewed some of the people who Breen hired for his movies, and they seemed to find him weird and kind of unpleasant. In the interview with one of the actresses playing his wife in that movie where he is walking around with a bandaged head, she said she felt very uncomfortable around him and got some bad vibe from the whole experience of the movie shoot. She specifically mentioned the shower scene as being especially unsettling.
