I never played it and don't know many details but recently I heard a lefty podcaster bitching that Horizon was problematic because it the story promotes patriarchal norms as the savior of civilization or something. I turned it off because the fucker was just supposed to be doing a top 10 personal favorite games of 2017 episode and he couldn't stop talking about the patriarchy and how evil JonTron is, but then googled for Horizon controversy... and couldn't find what he was talking about. All the links I found were from anti-sjws bitching about the game being too pc or something.
Can someone explain the problem with Horizon to me? All I ever saw was that it looked like a decent open world game with a slightly novel premise.
There isn't one.
There was a bunch of spergs in GG (coincidentally the ones even other GGers tend to mock openly, but I digress) who disliked it because they're so paranoid about identity politics that they'll bristle at the mere prospect of PC culture being anywhere near a game, actual game itself be damned. While part of that might be understandable to a degree (shit like FE Fates, thank you Andrea Ritsu and Alison Rapp), it isn't when you see the dumbass depths these faggots take it to and start seeing shit that doesn't exist.
Conversely their counterparts were pissed because not enough black/trans/disabled folks.
For fuck's sake, stop whining and blow up some robot dinosaurs, you insufferable faggots.
