Forget subtitling certain threads as "post here to be banned" they should just come out and make it a fucking rule to not disagree with the mod's opinions or else be banned. Might as well just out and out tell everyone the truth since they love the "truth" so damn much.

I think the last time someone asked they were sitting at either 2400 or 24000 (I forget how many zeroes at the end).

As for the Dontnod stuff, it's pretty shitty that even after the mod admits "OK, I made a post that could be taken as a drive-by post," (which is entirely because enough people called them on it and the double standard don't think for a second that apology is genuine), none of the bans have been revoked.

That's how ResetEra rolls, unfortunately. Don't like The Man, get the ban. I'm just genuinely hoping we get to a point where ResetEra is so entrenched in this shit that people stop joining up or keep getting banned for wrongthink super quick in their 'junior phase', and the number of active members just keeps decreasing over time at a constant rate because of feels bans left and right and those that survive keeping silent to avoid the banwagon.

I mean, it's not unrealistic at this point in my opinion. Any account in their retarded-ass 'Junior Phase' that says the slightest incorrect thing gets a ban in a heartbeat, and passing 'Junior Phase' doesn't guarantee more protection from wrongthink bans anyway. Yeah, most of the bans I see aren't permabans, but they still happily ban a user for days or weeks every time they say something that triggers them, and I notice a hefty amount of permabans are for the "Repeated offenses" reason, meaning accumulating enough temp bans will just get that user perma'd anyway.

So everyone keeps getting insta-permas or strings of temps leading to a perma, rides the rightthink train, or shuts the fuck up. Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong, do you still practically have to dox yourself to become a member?

I'm hopeful enough to imagine even the most diehard fans of the site will gradually be worn down until they just don't care enough to keep going anymore.

Already, their name is a joke. Looking up ResetEra on most social media platforms gets you posts that mock the users (outside of Era's Twitter bot that fills up their search with links to threads). Unlike NeoGAF, the anti-SocJus crowd already hate them due to the Kingdom Come fiasco and the pro Free Speech crowd won't touch them due to their ban-heavy status. Less than a year from launch and already we have threads that are full of people calling out mods on bad decisions every few weeks on average.

Eventually, Era will have banned more people than wish to join.

Isn't that literally all of their mods and admins? If the solution is to dump all of the current staff and start over, the better solution is to just go somewhere else. Except these people believe in the cult of social justice so badly they don't want to go elsewhere because they might encounter actual wrongthink and alt-right trolls, even though by disagreeing with the mods over the slightest thing means they're considered alt-right trolls engaging in wrongthink. So they stick around to be whipped by their translesbian sempais because obviously they don't believe in the cult rightthink hard enough yet.

I'm still waiting for them to go scorched earth when one of the mods/owner's closet-skeletons comes out with jazz-hands waving. It'll come eventually, I have a feeling.

Off topic kinda:
There's this pseudo-science/conspiracy community over the "electric universe" model which essentially boils down to a bunch of nuts/cons that use the misconception of visual similarities between things in the universe indicating like systems/functions being in-play. It's a wild wide through cultish behavior that would probably give science-buffs a hoot.
