I really don't know how these people thought that just because Wolfenstein was all about beating the "de Nawt-zis" up that somehow, that meant Doom Eternal would follow the same path. There are no guarantee's in the industry that anything will follow a pattern. Especially considering it was already laid out in the first Doom.
Another thing is thinking that just because one extreme is riffed on, does not mean the other extreme cannot be riffed on either. That's a thought in insanity thinking they wouldn't do that- especially after how badly Wolfenstein did.
Companies like money and since these idiots, who praise but never buy these games never buy these games, it makes more sense to pander to the other side since that side buys their fucking games. And again and again, these types wonder why most people just refuse to listen to them or deal with them.

Just another reason to love DOOM - if you're legitimately offended by a game which is 100% fluff about just being this unbelievably hardcore badass whose hands are covered in so much demon blood that the devil himself is so scared to the point he hides in the seventh circle of hell just to ensure Doomguy doesn't get fucking near him...then the game never was intended for you in the first place.

That said, what the fuck are these people so angry about anyway? Maybe I'm just desensitized to it all, but beyond the holo-woman saying stupid shit about how people should ignore obvious dimensional rifts into hell itself and that demons are merely 'mortally challenged', I didn't see anything that could be an anti-SJW joke. And come on, being offended on the part of 100% evil demons? They're literally the most acceptable generic shooter target after zombies and Nazis!

Ordinarily, I'd suggest anyone so trigger happy to ban someone over a post like this probably has something to hide himself, and I wouldn't be shocked if there are a few Amir0x clones on Era, but they ban everyone over everything, so it's probably meaningless.

Yeah it's the go to term for people who want to try and wiggle out of being labeled a sleazebag while also wiggling out of being labeled a pedo due to their habitual chasing of older teen tail, who are ALSO dumb enough to try and justify their behavior. So you won't hear it much.

And in fairness to beardo the verafied dev, he didn't mention that term at all, his distinction was "pedophile vs sleazebag" (which, IMO, is fair), the ERA mods brought ephebophilia up all on their own, which is a term used almost exclusively to downplay the sexualization of minors by people who's biggest life accomplishment is likely their sweet custom rape-van.
