A lot of stupid speculation going on so allow me to enlighten anyone who genuinely cares.
Canon Law states that the Pope is chosen from among those already Bishops. While nothing is stopping them from selecting a Bishop who is not a Cardinal, it is extremely unlikely for this to occur. Therefore the next Pope will almost certainly be chosen from among the current Cardinals.
Thusly the following are considered to be the most likely candidates, in no particular order.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin (70) - Current Vatican Secretary of State and highest ranking Cardinal, a moderate.
Cardinal Peter Erdö (72) - Former President of the European Council of Bishop's Conferences, a conservative and devout Marian from Hungary who opposed the practice of divorced/remarried Catholics receiving Holy Communion
.
Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle (67) - The seventh Filipino Cardinal in history and potentially the first Asian Pope, currently serves as the pro-prefect for the section of first evangelisation of the dicastery for evangelisation
, leans left like Francis.
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi (69) - A favorite of Francis, leans left, currently president of the Episcopal Conference of Italy.
Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke (76) - An outspoken conservative traditionalist
, notably having clashed with Francis’s more liberal philosophies, particularly regarding his willingness to allow divorced and remarried couples to receive the Eucharist. He has also called the church’s new language around artificial contraception, civil marriages and gay people objectionable.
Cardinal Robert Sarah (78 ) - Among the more conservative Cardinals, if not the most conservative. Has clashed fiercely with Francis on multiple occasions and despises gender ideology. Fought for separation of Church and State in Guinea, speaking boldly against the government despite their active persecution of Catholics. His clear conservative profile and the hurdle of being the first Black Pope are considered the biggest obstacles in his way.
Cardinal Christoph Schönborn (78 ) - Well known for his politically savvy centrist position, this would be his third time up for consideration, though he did not get many votes in 2005 or 2013.
Cardinal Peter Turkson (74) - The first Cardinal from Ghana and a second black candidate on the list. As is typical of African Bishops he leans heavily conservative, though he is also known for his strong position on interreligious matters. He has long been considered "
papabile" the Italian term for someone who has a chance of becoming Pope, though this is not always an auspicious consideration. History has shown that favourites often stumble when the votes come in.
With that last line in mind remember there is no guarantee that it will be one of these men.
