These fags make the consumer miserable with locked down shitty consoles and accounts just to be hacked every single time eventually. Fuck your gay bullshit, make consoles fun again, nigger.

It’s being reported Nintendo was hacked by some known hacker group.

Well, with any luck, that gets us this much closer to cracking the Switch 2 wide open.

Nintendo wouldn't be such a target if they didn't act like such cunts to their customers and essentially everyone else.

With what people who have a better idea about this kind of stuff have been able to snuff out from it so far.... Unfortunately, nothing really significant is gonna come out as it's just website data they got, not the actual servers holding the good shit we're wanting like Horizon OS Switch 2 source code for example.

In essence, unless there's some miracle and there happens to be some big leaks that come from this breach (If Nintendo doesn't just pay the ransom enough for the group to just not leak it), nothing ever happens

That is too bad.

I wonder if this is related to the Palworld lawsuit?
Close enough, welcome back

>an alliance bigger than NATO
I love conspiracy shit. I wonder if Nintendo's recent actions are not only for money but a selection program to sniff out the biggest niggercattle. The perfect goyim.

Get fucked, Nintendo. Being complete pieces of shit to your former, current and most likely future customers my have not got you into this mess. But judging from the reactions mostly being "lol, get fucked" and "you deserved it" your reputation outside of the usual "platforms" is catastrophically bad. You made your bed, now lie in it.

I don't care about anything being leaked, I just love seeing these slant-eye niggers suffer.

Suck shit and die, chinks. I hope you get extorted for every last cent you're worth.

The reason they don't release anything from it isn't so much because it was a HAL thing but because the game was such a trainwreck of game dev that it's assumed that they never really got more than the prologue fully worked out in all that time due to Duke Nukem tier feature creep, lack of understanding of 3D game dev early on and the entire game just being way too out there even for the era. If you see shots from early in development the game legit looked like Cruelty Squad with texture filtering, it took them that long to get a grip on 3D.
the little bits of footage they showed off in 1997 had all of the hallmarks of a pre-alpha trailer showing off a handful of functioning assets running like a slideshow. supposedly when it was cancelled in 2000 it was "30% complete." basically everything about it clearly indicates that it had a disastrous development. the game literally came out 6 years later as a 2d game boy advance title so its just a classic case of borrowed nostalgia

If it's something worth paying ransom for, it's likely something that ought to be leaked. If nothing comes out despite the stink, then you know it's just a nothingburger meant to gather attention from people curious about Nintendo one way or the other.
Not necessarily. Depends on how Nintendo wants to handle the hack. At this point, they already have a massive target on their back. Paying the ransom will make it clear that they are willing to give into demands, potentially drawing more attention from similar groups.

Hopefully they leak everything out and it reduces the time it'll take for switch 2 emulators to come out :optimistic:
This couldn't have happened to a worse company
On the one hand, using leaked code would undermine a legal defense, on the other hand, it's long past time for emulator developers to start acting like anonymous criminals who are actively being hunted. Even if you are careful (Ryujinx), Nintendo will come for that ass, and as far as being a legitimate open source project, >99% are downloading a Switch 2 emulator for piracy. Make it official, use the leaked code, distribute your code through torrents if you have to. Don't have a gay little Discord server to talk to your buddies.

But we will be lucky to see anything of value out of this one.

Didn't Miyamoto say it was 60% complete?

even if it was and they completed it belatedly and to little fanfare you're talking about a Duke Nukem Forever scenario. We all know how that plays out.
DNF really was just all smoke & mirrors from what I know, that'd be a lot different than a game more than half complete.

the 2001 e3 build of the game got leaked and is playable, you can look at all of the scenes in the trailer. with earthbound 64 you have a trailer from 1997 that looks like they threw it together out of like three functioning levels with a few background animations, it doesn't look like anything more than a tech demo. the footage they showed off in 1999 is legitimately the same assets but with a user interface. every single thing about the game's development is full of phrases like
Development only progressed further when Pokémon Stadium's team was brought over to assist development early in 2000, improving both the visuals and performance of EarthBound 64.

it was dead in the water and the same developers also completely fumbled doing a 3d pokemon game 15 years later. these things are crystal clear in hindsight.
