It's a shit game to anyone that was a big fan of the earlier ones. If you've never played a Metroid game it's alright but still only a 7 or 8/10
I saw Vinny Vinesauce playing with the motorcycle and GOD DAMN that is some bull shit! Eight fucking years for this slop?

I've been waiting nearly 20 years since the last Prime game (I actually really like 3) and this is what I get. Absolute fucking shit linear hallway simulator.

You don't like the tacked on empty "open world" desert or the "marvel writing" NPCs blabbing in your ear during your atmospheric Metroid game? Truly, gamers are the most entitled of customers! Jarvis, prepare all the other Nintendo IPs for BOTW-ification.

Look, BotW-izing worked for DK, because Bananza is fucking awesome. One voiced character is fine in a game like that. It also brought back the Kremlings and King Fucking K. Rool.

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games and seeing what they did to it is just sad. What did Nintendo in Japan to make them scrap it and give it to Retro again? I know the same team at Retro that made the old Prime games did not make this one, because they all are mostly gone,

I mean, I still haven’t played it yet, but from the gameplay I see, it sucks.

Let's go around the room and everybody says their favorite thing about Metroid Prime 4
The best part by far was the salt generated from the marvel humor soyjak revealed at the last minute, and how not that good of a game it turned out to be.

The worst part by far is that people actually played it, whether by actually buying it, or doing it "for free".

Visually it looks fantastic (except for the desert) .

The fact that Assault was the last true original Star Fox is just sad.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot Star Fox Command...which might not be saying much as IDK who remembers that. But looking it up, they effectively enter the F-Zero Grand Prix in one of the 9 different endings.

Command is kind of good, but the drastic changes in perspective is kind of bullshit, in a way

This is what I asked a while ago and got backlash: Is this game one I will have fun with (even if it is not polished)? I never got a straight answer. What do you think? I recently played PLA and liked it. Will I enjoy this too? How is the gameplay different from PLA? I am not expecting a glitchless experience, no Pokemon game ever was but I want to know if I will have fun regardless.
Since you actually asked for my opinion specifically
Yeah! If you really enjoy *pokemon specifically* the game is a blast!
If you just like creature collectors and want a good time, go buy Digimon time stranger, you'll get a better quality game overall.
But PLZA was addicting and I'm having fun with the dlc as of last night :)

I enjoy Pokemon and I am planning on eventually buying Time Stranger too one day.

I like the shooty parts and the bosses are fun. Scanning stuff was always my favorite and wandering around looking at things is great.

The one boss with the metal plates and the orb thing was really neat.

Oh yeah! The soundtrack, too.

I haven't played it yet but I'm looking forward to using it to learn about the current state of Switch emulation.

I have a Switch, but it's on the floor next to me and I am not excited enough about Metroid Prime 4 to bend over.
