I don't think many have argued that Nintendo doesn't generally release quality titles. Just that the price they want people to pay for what's basically a good Mario Kart games is bananas.Mario Kart World is my highest playtime, and you know what, I like it. I really like it. World has arguably risen to a top contender of the series, maybe number 1. Mechanically, this is the best a Mario Kart has ever felt. It has a certain energy to it that is unrivaled by previous entries between the rail hopping, wall riding, and general bounce.
Think about this... Their handheld line used to get remakes of old home console games. The GBA had a bunch of SNES ports, 3DS had ports of eveything from N64 to Gamecube to Wii U titles. These ports on handheld systems were generally sold at a much lower price than full home console releases. So they merged their handheld and home console lines into one to do this hybird shit with Switch and Switch 2. Guess what? That remake you would have gotten for $30-40 on 3DS? It's now a fucking $70 Switch 2 game. They treat every physical release the same. A Paper Mario remake gets priced exactly the same as a brand new 3D Mario or Zelda.
