I have an experience with an assault. I opened up to a friend about a sexual assault experience and she asked me what did I do to stop it, and told me a bunch of things I could have done to prevent it. I told her I disassociated when it happened and she continued to tell me I should have respected myself enough to fight back. Realizing the true nature of men makes me feel relief but also very very sad that so many women go through the same thing. I hope we can all recover.

Twilight is not the end-all be-all of English literature featuring female characters. Bella is not the platonic ideal of female characters. She works in the YA environment that she's been written into, and Stephanie Meyer has been pretty clear that Twilight is her wish fulfillment fantasy written down. And in that context, Bella's character or lack thereof is fine.

Bella Swan is basically James Bond for teen girls i.e. a Mary Sue in a wish fulfillment story. She's not a great character but there are plenty of male characters just as bad and worse that mysteriously don't get the same hate or people thinking they represent all characters of that gender.

If I knew faggots would've been so gross and obnoxious about tomboy women to the point they are calling them 13-year old boys to indulge in their "haha totally ironic until it's not ironic" pedophilic tendencies then I'd wish that tomboys and "weird" girls never got revived back to the normiesphere, because it's just gross porn addicts that are trying to pursue them.

I had the extreme misfortune of going out to lunch on the weekend with some old friends and their boyfriends/husbands.

I was pretty horrified at how childish these men's palates were. We went out to Yum Cha (dim sum) and while I don't expect everyone to be bold enough to eat chicken feet or jellyfish, these dudes only ate plain rice and spring rolls because of various excuses "I don't like vegetables"/"I don't like prawns"/"I don't like onions" etc.
For fucks sake I know children that are less picky than these moids. You don't like vegetables? Grow the fuck up!

All my friends grossed me out by apologising to these man babies about the choice of restaurant because they "couldn't eat anything". It was like watching mothers deal with difficult toddlers.

Then afterwards the men all went to get McDonald's because they were "starving".
