Rocks is literally from God Valley, is actually "Davy D. Rocks", and is going back to save his wife, son, and probably homeland as well. Why are we supposed to hate this guy kikegoku?
I do not think that Rocks is supposed to be an evil antagonist.

Or at least overly antagonistic, I think I have made this comparison before but It seems that Rocks is like Senator Armstrong he has a specific goal, and those who are in the way of that goal gotta get beat.

However there seems to be almost no malice behind his actions. Fullalead Island doesnt seem any worse to live on than Marijoise and while they are rivals he does not seem to hate Roger or Harold.

I think when we get there (i dont think we will in this, its Lokis backstory, poor kid is like 5th string to his own flashback) it will be very interesting in ways we dont expect.

chapter out, fuck TCB I've waited long enough I'm FIENDING now

And here’s one that doesn’t have a plague of ads.

Actual thoughts : a whole chapter of the Celestial Dragond being dicks and getting away with unspeakable horrors. Right now you’re only supposed to feel angry because what came before this to allow for this behavior is strictly endgame material IMO. Also, I wonder if it’s going to be revealed that Shakky is Boa Hancock’s mother.

Propaganda and lies. Each chapter I'm more convinced that the true first rebel was Rocks and what we see in God's Valley, including his end, will inspire Dragon to rebel directly and Roger to do it indirectly.

Roger became the pirate king for the masses to hide Rocks from history but he also inherited his will. I'm convinced that's why Roger seems like such a goof in this flashback, he just wanted to fuck around with his friends, God Valley and Rocks gave him something to dedicate his life (and death) towards.

Also, seems like Morgans wasn't part of Roger's crew, sad, I liked that theory.

Sounds plausible, but everything I’ve seen of Roger in his final voyage and time as pirate king seems like he only learned of the bigger game and his role in it from reading the poneglyphs as he headed through the Grand Line and reached Laugh Tale. He’s a step above Luffy in that he actually shows something resembling intellect and realizes the significance of what he finds. Also, I do think that this is going to be what makes Dragon leave the Marines. And maybe he ends up learning more about what gave the Celestial Dragons their status and influence if Oda feels like it won’t reveal too much about the world and how Luffy will end up changing it.

Oh boy I get to post these again IMG_1969.webp true-name-of-a-fraud-v0-4mshpmm6h60c1.webp

Plus a new one 1756851620166425.webp

Seriously, Garp is that delusional retard who thinks he can redeem a damned institution. Sengoku and Kong are just evil. That goat? Insidious!

WHAT exactly is "God Valley"? I was under the impression that it was like a second Mary Geoise and home to many CDs and Rocks wrecking it was a bummer. Here it is shown to be a non-affiliated country. What made this country so important to be called "God Valley"? Why would it not join the WG? Is it not a bit wasteful to hold the games in such an important place? So many unanswered questions.

Harald had to shave his head, otherwise the Cuck Crown wouldn't fit.
Garling doesn't pay child support.
Not surprising that Dragon was a Marine soldier given that he is Garp's son. But that he's the one who saved Teach from the Human Hunt seems like it will be revisited before the end of the series.
This is the face of a man who is about to go rescue his waifu:

I'm sure this probably needs to be spoilered, but the Tenryuubito are almost entirely scum.

His first scene where he ordered execution of St. Mjosgard was not enough of a clue?
To be fair as the law and order of MG killing people challenging the status quo sort of makes sense, also Mjosgard giving his life to protect a lesser is kind of the perfect ending to his character arc since the only reason he was still alive was because one of those lesser beings saved him. Just nonchalantly stabbing the mother of your children because you found a prettier woman is insane.

I'm getting the feeling that the battle between Rogers and Rocks is bullshit and a matter of the WG trying to hide what happened, much like Alabaster and Dressrosa. A myth about a grand battle between pirates that left all the locals dead in the crossfire. That of course the WG and CDs weren't involved in. Which would add an extra layer of irony as this is what would make Rogers the pirate king, which would make the WG want to make an example out of him with a public execution, which would give Rogers the chance to reveal the One Piece and set off the great pirate era, which would inspire Luffy and lead to the return of Nika. A rube Goldberg mechanism of shooting themselves in the foot.

Lol Garling is just irredeemable.

You ever murder a lover because she had your kids? Stone cold lunatic, right down to the follicles.
Isn’t that the point though? Practically everything involving the Celestial Dragons exists to make you want the worst for them and see Luffy punch one of them in the face. And I still believe the setup is to have it where the structure is dismantled completely which hits like crack. The only questions with the Celestial Dragons is how much more and how worse are the things we’re going to see as time Goes on because Oda’s waiting to show how the Celestial Dragons 1. Earned the right to act with such impunity and 2. What comes in the aftermath of their demise, because Luffy won’t give a shit beyond “punch them out and wreck their shit”.

Oh shit, oh fuck, what if the Davy clan is a lineage of Joy Boy? Why else would they focus so heavily on the fact that the Celestial Dragons/World Government found this Davy clan after 800 years?
I think we’re bound to get answers in this flashback, or at least a hint. I tried to think of how “Monkey Davy Luffy”, “Davy Davy Xebec”, “Davy Kingdom”, “Davy Dawn Xebec”, Nefartiti Davy Lili”, and related things would sound. But if it’s related to Joy Boy, then Oda will hold off on an explanation because Luffy is probably going to be involved, and if too much is revealed, then the ending can be figured out before Oda is able to write it, which completely ruins everything he’s built towards because some people need to show off how smart they are.

Isn’t that what actually happened though? It was already established the WG suppressed the truth of what happened on God Valley to hide the fact that Roger helped to stop Rocks from wreaking havoc so Garp got his hero title?

All we’re seeing now is the full circumstances of what happened, and then the question becomes when this whole thing becomes public knowledge in the One Piece world in the present day, especially since much of what makes Luffy a nuisance to the Gorosei and the other decision makers is that his exploits usually result in the revelation of things that they’d rather keep in the shadows (like how defeating Crocodile revealed how Crocodile abused the Warlord system and its privileges, and how Luffy defeating Kaido led to a new wanted poster with a picture of him in Gear 5 had the Gorosei demanding that the presses be stopped so that picture isn’t seen by anybody (even if all they see is Luffy laughing with white hair).

Yeah, but that was already established as normal. Treating other humans as expendable was the exact thing we saw them do when they were first introduced. Remember Charlos choosing to FREE some women like a pet owner freeing a canary he does not care for any more? Killing the mother of his children was like taking your shitty car to the bad part of town in order to get it stolen and collect some insurance payment.
