It's especially funny because Bridge Kids checks a lot of the same boxes as Smiling Friends (goofily designed characters having realistic conversations) but at the very least Smiling Friends characters do more than just stand there and occasionally move an arm or two.
I do like bridge kids, I find it hard to believe that they’d be bitter about smiling friends’ success. If anything it proves that internet animation/cartoons does have opportunities for larger success.

I wasn't sure where exactly to post this as there's both Smiling Friends and Oney/Sleepycabin-related content in it but I figured the Oney stuff was more significant. A couple weeks ago, several Newgrounds artists put together a zine and a fair bit of it is dedicated to mocking Chris and his general sphere of people.

Here's some choice cuts:
You can peruse the whole thing here: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/pjorg/newgrounds-zeen-issue-001

Reading through this, it comes off as extremely bitter and angry that Chris and Zach are more well known than what the individuals involved with this were making under the thin veil of satire.
This really has that Quagmire raping Marge and killing the rest of the family energy.

Some of them seem to be made with frustration with regards to how the site, at least in their eyes, feels now more like an unofficial fan-site for Oney & co. than a place to share you work, with most being overly positive towards anything regardless of quality than feedback focus. Admittedly I did find the monkey wrench one funny.

Understandable frustration aside, most of the works here reek of failed animators that took the site too seriously thinking that it was some kind of safe heaven for struggling artists rather than an online community where people just post shit they find funny, no shit that most of the popular stuff are in-jokes, references and juvenile content what did they think "Everything by everyone" even meant?

They need to cope, seethe and dilate.

It's throwing stones from a glass house. Can't criticize the competitor if you're doing the exact same thing with even less steps.

If I had to guess, and this is me spitballing here but I feel like these people are upset at people like Oney and Zach for "selling out" so to speak and going corporate, leaving their indie roots behind in favor of the almighty dollar. However, if that's the case a lot of these indie shows (Bridge Kids and Ratbasterdz included) do tend to make tons and tons of little trinkets people can buy if they want to support the show or its creator.

So I really don't know what it could be, either your theory or mine but at the end of the day does it really matter?

FNF raised 2 and a quarter MILLION dollars on Kickstarter almost 5 years ago and still isn't finished, and yet these people are somehow more upset about Smiling Friends being popular, and Sleepycabin having existed a decade ago. Truly incredible.

It's unreasonably funny how much shit Dave and Chris gave Corey for completely sperging out midway through this episode, I don't even think I've ever seen him this mad asides from the Sonic Heroes playthrough

Bridge Kids can be kind of funny. But the shtick gets old after a a couple of episodes, especially since the style isn't that interesting to look at. Most of the Zine is funny I do like the Moneky Wrench and Crylot bits, but a lot of this feels like bitter animators angry people are more popular than themselves. Seriously though that Sleepycabin one feels so vitriolic, why are we criticizing up a decade old group?

But I don't think it's worth getting too worked up about. The people they're mocking are probably too busy to ever see this and if they do, they'll probably just laugh at it.

I'm doing my part and lying about how good it is so they make more for me to laugh at. It really is a shame that some of these have really good art. Hope they make other pieces besides vent art about people more successful than them.
Also didn't realize that those people were the ones who collaborated this. I thought the guy who uploaded it was putting a list of "We made this because of you" because of the "Gift For"

Cory sounded like he wanted to cry after he lost a lawnmower. I was crying laughing.

God Smiling Friends is such derivative slop. What ZAM studios really needs is a story about an aughts nostalgia-bait quirky small punk band getting into petty squabbles with the normalfags of their failing rust-belt town that they all grew up in and they're all, get this, fucking pathetic losers where the only thing the audience takes away is "wow, the writers really REALLY like Night in The Woods."

Cory deserves to be made fun of. Without bullying or peer pressure, he would have turned out to be a sex-obsessed, tranny-fucking Chris-Chan. He needs autists to manhandle him sometimes.

The moments in which the cast shit on him are by far my favorites. There is nothing more cathartic and humorous than seeing a retard being mocked or corrected.

"I'll draw my character killing Zach's character in a brutal way while pretending that Zach's character is irrelevant!"
This reeks of jealousy.
In a badly drawn way too, the angle of the chainsaw tip makes no sense for how far down he's holding the handle. Haha Zach is successful and you can't draw for shit haha

He deserves to be ostracized from any friend group. Every group of young males picks up a Cory at some point and they invariably either send him away for good or else lose all cohesion and spend the rest of eternity missing the good old days. Cory, who is the Coryest Cory of all time, instead fell ass-backwards into the only group of peers that can make money by tolerating him.

It wouldn't be so bad if he was actually entertaining

Idk man, the more people hate Corey, the more I find him hilarious. I really like how Chris and Dave don't let him off the hook anymore for being a spergy faggot

They 100% delayed this video because Cory sperged so hard they had to cut it lol. I'm also happy to see "chimp out" get used more, Zach said it in that train video and people are saying it in the comments of this one, Niggermania is runnin' wild!

I want to agree, but I feel like they'd keep in a proper Cory spergout since his rage moments always do well with a section of the viewer base. That french dip arguments is one of the most popular bits with the subhuman scum who like Cory for a reason.
