Dexter
The protagonist is a blood spatter analyst working for the Miami police. His alter ego is a "just" serial killer who only targets dangerous criminals. In season 6 another serial killer, a religious fanatic named Travis Marshall, wants to kill Dexter and makes a big wall painting of a demon with Dexter's face in his apartment. At some point the cops learn that Marshall is a suspect. They go to his place and call Dexter before kicking down the door. He's the first person to enter (!!!), discovers the painting and defaces it to avoid being asked about his connection to Marshall. That was just one of many pants-on-head-retarded scenes in the last 4 season of that show. [see: attachment]
Days Of Our Lives (I'm quoting a post I found on the iMDB forums many years ago)
They killed off a shitload of characters over the course of a year. But then the show runners realised they killed off too many people and the show was losing momentum and as soap actors don't exactly have casting agents knocking down their doors they managed to secure every single person they wrote out of the show to come back. So how did they write them back into the show? Massimo of course faked all their deaths and they all woke up on replica Salem. Salem, being the town the show is set in. Replica Salem is exactly the same as normal Salem except it's in a remote location and there's a force field stopping the prisoners from leaving. This meant they didn't have to build a new set or make new props. It was the single funniest piece of television I've ever seen. Oh and the remote location was called Melaswen, which is New Salem backwards.
