Dexter

The protagonist is a blood spatter analyst working for the Miami police. His alter ego is a "just" serial killer who only targets dangerous criminals. In season 6 another serial killer, a religious fanatic named Travis Marshall, wants to kill Dexter and makes a big wall painting of a demon with Dexter's face in his apartment. At some point the cops learn that Marshall is a suspect. They go to his place and call Dexter before kicking down the door. He's the first person to enter (!!!), discovers the painting and defaces it to avoid being asked about his connection to Marshall. That was just one of many pants-on-head-retarded scenes in the last 4 season of that show. [see: attachment]

Days Of Our Lives (I'm quoting a post I found on the iMDB forums many years ago)

They killed off a shitload of characters over the course of a year. But then the show runners realised they killed off too many people and the show was losing momentum and as soap actors don't exactly have casting agents knocking down their doors they managed to secure every single person they wrote out of the show to come back. So how did they write them back into the show? Massimo of course faked all their deaths and they all woke up on replica Salem. Salem, being the town the show is set in. Replica Salem is exactly the same as normal Salem except it's in a remote location and there's a force field stopping the prisoners from leaving. This meant they didn't have to build a new set or make new props. It was the single funniest piece of television I've ever seen. Oh and the remote location was called Melaswen, which is New Salem backwards.

In The Predator (2018 ), they retcon it so that the predators no longer cut off heads to collect them as trophies, but instead cut them off to obtain the spinal fluid. They use this fluid to obtain the traits of their prey and become superior beings. They then introduce a super predator that effortlessly kills a normal predator.

Earlier in the film, they introduce an autistic child who's bullied for his autism. His mom reassures him by telling him that "some scientists say that autism is the next step in human evolution." The kid then uses his autism to decode the predator's language and use the predator's technology. It is then revealed that the super predator is targeting the child to obtain their spinal fluid and use it to enhance itself.

TLDR: A super predator wants to obtain autism to become the ultimate being.

Valvrave the Liberator has so many scenes it's hard to choose:
* The secondary love interest gets raped by the mind controlled protagonist while the main love interest thinks how happy she is in a massive party. Which earned the series the nickname "Valvrape the Penetrator".
* The space school declaring it wants to become its own independent settlement.
* The space school gets literally gassed.
* The reveal that everything bad happened because of Jews space vampires that manipulated Gemany The Empire to attacking the Allies Federation and made the dindu Japanese space school pay the price.
* The end statement by the love interest that the student body, who all became artificial Space Vampires are now the real Space Vampires.

I guess this kind of counts, but when serious action movies have bad special FX. A good example is the 1970's action thriller Breakout starring Charles Bronson, when the film's ending has the protagonist getting into a fight on an airport runway, and the villain gets mangled by the plane's propeller. But it's clearly a dummy:

Or in Goldfinger when Bond and Auric fight inside a plane, and the villain gets sucked out of the window in some of the worst blue screen until Superman IV:

My favorite was the piece of Predator equipment that turned a scientist into an armored war machine with two big guns on his shoulders. I remember when this movie was shilled as promising because it was written by Shane Black who was in the original movie and wrote Lethal Weapon and The Monster Squad.

Also he let a sex predator on set.

The Law and Order SVU episode "Bullseye"

Desmond from Lost plays a guy who is revealed to be a pedophile that raped his younger sister when she was a child. She's brought in by Benson at the end of the episode and she confronts Desmond and says "You swore it would never happen again, but you KEPT ON RAPIN'!" The line and her delivery are so ridiculous that it completely ruins the moment. I don't know if she was trying to have an accent or something since he obviously does but it sounds so, so stupid. RAPIN'!

Shane black made so much good shit that the predator is shocking. Apperatetly 2/3rds of the movie was reshot and it shows but shit like the search for autism, the super predator and predator dogs are so ingrained that they must of been there from the beginning. Did the studio fuck it from the beginning or did Shane black just become completely retarded In the two years since he made the nice guys. What ever the process, promoting it as "Shane Black's the predator" basically halted his career and killed his reputation since 99% of people don't follow directors and just know him as the "predators came to steal our autism" guy.

He made the exact movie the studio wanted him to make.

What people forget is that Black made the only solo MCU movie that crossed $1 billion and that feat wasn't repeated till Black Panther.
It's pretty clear to me that the Predator is an MCU movie but with a Predator skin.
They even set up an Iron Predator suit for the sequels that never came.
If you treat this movie as capeshit and not a Predator movie, it's kind of fun.
Really stupid but definitely entertaining.

From what I know, the entire last act was completely different.
I was interested so I did some digging back when the movie came out and what I found was that Black wanted all the soldiers to survive and become essentially this Expendables sort of alien fighting squad that would be in multiple movies.
Studio didn't like that and they wanted soldiers dying in a forest like in the 1st movie so Black rewrote it in the dumbest way as a FUCK YOU to the studio.
That's why you have really dumb shit like the suicidal nigga just jumping into the spaceship's exhaust with a smile on his face.

There's another suicidal nigga in that movie. The other black guy accidentally decapitated himself with the Predator shoulder cannon in the night scene in the forest. I think I only noticed it because Jay and Like Like Stoklasa from RLM talked about it. Otherwise it's easy to miss because it's dark and they immediately cut to something else. I bet a lot of viewers were thinking "wait, what happened to Black Guy 2?"

I had this in a text file with old notes about things I find funny. I don't know the source. It's about the 2018 movie Mortal Engines:

It's worth noting that while Anna Fang dies at the climax of the film, she's actually brought back in the novels as a zombie robot that tries to take over the world. So, you know, on the off chance that Mortal Engines gets a sequel, we have that bit of buck wild nonsense to look forward to. The best part of Mortal Engines ripping off Star Wars is that Thaddeus Valentine revealing that he's Hester's father is actually the movie's second evil dad reveal. Even better, it's the second evil dad reveal for the same character. Earlier in the film, Valentine unleashes Shrike, an unstoppable (until he isn't) Terminator-style robot devoted entirely to killing Hester. Later, it's revealed that once her mother was murdered, Hester was found by Shrike, who raised her as a daughter and taught her how to stab people, and that he only wants to kill her because she promised he could also turn her into a zombie robot.

A video game called Ride to Hell Retribution(infamous for being one of the worst ever made) had a really funny quest line.
Your character wants to infiltrate a compound but it's surrounded by electrified chain fence. He goes and steals a big-ass truck and you think he's going to use it to drive through the fence.
He instead drives a massive distance while being chased by all manner of cop and gangster to go and ram it into an electric station, causing a county wide power out, so that he can go and drive back to the fence and climb over it.

This sounds great. I never played this game, but I saw a playthrough of it and it looks like it's as close to so-bad-it's-good as a video game can get.

The first nickname I only see used by bitter bloggers upset at the series for not being deep to circlejerk about after.
