There are people who're in prison for murder whose parents visit them - if someone's going to kill themselves, that's an existential and personal choice. Claiming it's someone else's fault that you're going to kill yourself is some weak shit and a deflection from your own grim reality. You can't possibly cause someone else to kill themselves.

He's obviously used to her bullshit by now. 2 of her 3 children don't speak to her, and he literally lives with her to take care of her. Yeah he gets lit on Fridays (where, if he gets a second bottle and gets 'too drunk' she'll call the police rather than an ambulance...) so he can earn $1700 in 3 hours while they live in poverty housing - do you see where I'm going with this?

How many children wipe their parent's ass, even if imperfectly? Blade's been a piece of shit in a lot of ways, but the way he deals with Peggy is something very few sons are willing to do. And no one should ever tell someone else they're going to kill themselves because of them, let alone a mother to her son. She's an embarrassment.

EDIT: All this to say, if someone tells you outright they're going to kill themselves expecting sympathy or pity and you're not their psychiatrist, they're manipulating you and it's not cool. If you're doing this to someone else, stop. No one can make those kinds of choices on anyone else's behalf, nor should they be expected to.

The more generous we can be in interpreting behaviour around us, the safer our world becomes. We don't know, either way - so, we can decide we're surrounded by evil pieces of shit and have our own cortisol skyrocket, or believe everyone's doing their best with the wounds and gifts they're given and live a little longer in a happier place. I'd rather live in peace as much as possible, but then again I'm old and have been through what I believe to be my fair share of misery.

No rational person would say that the proper way to respond to your mom saying she's gonna fucking Heath Ledger herself with her morphine pills would be TO STEAL HER FUCKING MOBILITY SCOOTER AND GO THROUGH THE DRIVETHROUGH AND ASK FOR 6 TACO TUESDAY FISH TACOS (and it's not even Tuesday). Have you considered that she told Lit Romney she was going to off herself? Your son gets drunk one night of the week, and you choose that moment in time to kill yourself? When someone's drunk, you should understand that they're drunk and maybe deal with adult issues in the morning. Except telling your adult son he's the reason you don't want to live isn't an adult issue, it's a teenage emo issue that you're putting on him when you're in your 70s.

Going and getting tacos on her scooter was a pretty rational decision. Do you think she needed it?

2 out of her 3 children don't talk to her, and she's pulling this shit on Blade's "day off" (where he makes more money in 2 hours than she is given by the state in a month) which you can pretty much bet isn't the first time he's heard it. Peggy's the issue in this scenario, anyone telling you they're going to kill themselves over your actions can get fucked. I don't believe Lit Romney would have the self-control to not go live. And binge drinking is a type of alcoholism, where people don't always drink every day but when they do it goes way too far and they can't control how much they drink.

Maybe, but I'd disagree. I'd bet at least 2, 3, 4 times a week he's sucking back a few shots after a hard day picking up meds from the pharm and wiping his mom's ass or w/e. Not blotto blackout shit, but I'd be shocked if he was stone cold sober Mon-thru-Thurs
