I understand that Jace is your very own personal lolcow, but you have to understand that not everyone gives as many fucks about him and his associates to learn every detail of their lives as you do. That's not getting mad. It's just not giving a damn.

I'm not asking you to learn every detail of his life, I'm correcting a simple misconception. I'm not attacking you, relax

Calling an entire group of people weens is something that I hope we can rise above at this point. One of the things that changed after Null stepped down is that we collectively realized it probably isn't wise or enlightened to wantonly shit on all of the groups who are responsible for providing us with lolcow content by calling them weens and sociopaths at every opportunity. That's part of the reason for the "no getting mad about Jace" rule. It's to prevent community infighting

We're getting an awful lot of this kind of speculation lately. I think it's mainly because Eli has barely posted ANY content and he's been there a month - he isn't like Jace in which he will publicize his every waking thought, quite to the contrary the most he's willing to invest is a 30-second long IPhone video once every two days to let us know he's not dead. He's not really into the whole "vlogging" thing.

It reminds me of when Jace won't post for three days straight and people will say things like "Is he dead? Is he in Jesus Camp? Is he in jail? Is he with Tupac? Is he a furry?" only half-jokingly.

I do wish Eli would provide us with some more content given that it'd basically be impossible for him to make a video that isn't hilariously tragicomic and ridiculous given his current cirsumstances. But it looks like we're stuck with speculation for now. *sigh*

that is a hypocritical "rule". we from upon people who do the same sort of trolling on chris and we call them out.

But what exactly does it accomplish? Saying "YEAH FUCK THEM GAMERFOODS" doesn't bring the conversation forward at all. It just brews resentment and in-group bullshit where we think we're better than everyone. I.E. it perpetuates every negative stereotype about CWCki forum posters. I can't see a good reason to allow that.

Again, the rules aren't up for debate. This is the second time you've brought this up. If you're so upset about it, start a thread in Talk to Staff, don't derail a thread.

oh i am not talking about shit talking. i am saying in a forum like here that is not for trolling, but rather observation, no topic should be verboten. if it gets out of hand, we just lock that shit up.

I think he got spooked when people figured out the location of the hostel he was staying in. That's when the updates declined significantly.

I always assumed they looked at the warning signs on a can of WD-40 or bleach and assumed the warning symbol qualified it as a poison.
