Anyone else hoping that at some point we see a story on Al-Jazeera along the lines of "Random American Nutter Found Pantsless and Dehydrated In Desert" and the story essentially elaborating that he got lost and the local embassy decided to send his ass home before he got himself in actual trouble? Because at this point, I think that's about the best we can hope for.

Eli was stupid enough to take a one-way trip to Israel, so I'm not banking on Eli's mental capacity at this point.
Again: "Getting into Gaza is difficult. Most would-be visitors from countries with diplomatic relations with Israel are required to apply in advance for Israeli permission to enter the Gaza Strip through the Erez crossing. The permission application is usually submitted through local Israel embassies and, in theory takes between 5-10 days. In practice, it can take months."

You can't just stroll in there, it doesn't matter how stupid you are.

I'm kind of hoping for an AP story along the lines of "US Stoner Injured 'Parkouring' Gaza Wall."

"One does not simply stroll into Mor-The Gaza Strip"

It's confirmed. Shits going down

This is starting to remind me of George Orwell's experiences as a fugitive in Barcelona during the Spanish Civil War, being hunted through hotels and cafes for his membership of the POUM Deagle Nation militia and trying to get out the country and return home.

I'm sure Homage To Runescape will prove an equally insightful read.

I like how the guy playing the part of the Islam uses an Arabic name but his twitter name is YoloKid if only Jace wasn't stupid and saw that. Oh and when houses are abandoned due to fighting and bombings it doesn't sound like a good idea to stay in one.

Eli isn't getting into Gaza.

He's got like 600 Islams left, which is 175 USD. I'd worry more about him not having any money to get back to Tel Aviv or the US Embassy (since he almost certainly needs a loan to get back home).

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days, and I think it should be said: I am incredibly uncomfortable watching all of this, and made even more uncomfortable knowing that there are people on twitter, be they Gamerfood people or not, fueling this nonsense with Jace and Eli.

There's a huge difference between watching a Jace stream and watching Eli stumble around a foreign country outrunning imaginary terrorists and looking for imaginary terrorists. Considering he doesn't know the language, has little money, seemingly knows nothing of the culture, and is in/near a war zone, there's a decent chance something horrible could happen to Eli. While Jace may be responsible for this stupid plan of his, and Eli made the stupid decision to go along with it, I think it's irresponsible and dangerous for anyone to fuel this, as ridiculous as the situation may be. I don't direct that towards anyone here in particular (as far as I know no one here is gamerfood or in direct contact with Jace or Eli), so please don't take it personally. I don't intend for this to spark some debate about the morality of trolling or watching the results, nor am I trying to act as though I'm somehow a better person for expressing worry. I'm not. I am simply and genuinely concerned for Eli in his present situation.

With all of the tracking people on here have done, surely there's some way to direct Eli to an embassy or something? Can't we help him out somehow, to get him back home? Can we at least try to contact him, his parents, etc. to get something done and end this? Can we talk some sense into someone involved or connected with this?

If this whole thing turns out to be a crazy elaborate hoax then haha, aren't I the fool for worrying. But if this is actually happening then I may soon have to take my leave. Even just observing this stuff unfold makes me feel terrible.

Again, I'm not trying to take the moral higher ground with this post. Just trying to express my (hopefully baseless) concerns.

Soniblue,

Just keep in mind that nothing bad is going to happen to Eli. He's not going to go anywhere near Gaza or anywhere close to any fighting. I know we all think of Jews as penis-destroyers who kill goyim children to use their blood in their passover rituals (true story by the way, read Ariel Toaff's Pasque di Sangue @ www.bloodpassover.com) but for the most part they are kind people like you and I and will gladly help out a strange kids who is clearly lost.

I fully expect Eli to give his parents a call and they will provide whatever monetary aid he needs to get back in one piece once he realizes that Jace doesn't have a third of the money needed for the plane ride home.

I'd be more inclined to be worried if Eli was competent. Sadly (or thankfully, dependant upon your viewpoint), much like his employer, he isn't, and we can fully expect him to return home, dejected and unsuccessful, head bowed in shame, within the month. Probably being called a faggot repeatedly by Jace for his trouble, because that's gratitude.

When someone accepts a one way ticket to an area close to a war zone because it cost half of a return ticket you kind of give up hope on them. So many moments in this are just comedically stupid. I fucking made some half-assed joke about how Eli probably misheard a tourist and would stake out a restaurant. He fucking did. Nothing about what Eli is doing is smart. I'm just glad Jace isn't over there. Eli has the survival instinct to stop when met with a degree of resistance.

Unrelated note: This guy is going to college? Like, fucking seriously? I think that's the most amazing thing I've heard throughout this entire ordeal. "Eli is off from college" or something. That baffles me.

I have to say, Jace is a surprisingly safe driver.

Also, I can say with no exaggeration that the dude's diet makes Chris look healthy.

Mission UPDATE!

Press 1 for supply runs for gamers
So he filmed himself admitting to Grand theft auto and driving with a suspended license and his plans to trespass. Good work Jace make it easy for Gail to press charges. I'm surprised he isn't angry at Eli's lack of progress and that he was smart enough to by food that he could eat during his prolonged stay at Kyle's house.

I probably sound like a huge dick but whatever happens to Jace and his friends including Eli is just natural selection in action. If you're dumb enough to 1. follow Jace, 2. let him convince you to do something insanely stupid, and 3. let him send you on a one way trip to a war zone then really you get to live with your actions. Again, fuck them. :)

Much more incriminating than taking his mom's car or 'breaking in' to his own house is the fact that he has now implicated Kyle in Tyce's #easymoney schemes (which is obviously drug dealing). He's also let it slip that Kyle grows his own 'medicine'.

Jace is literally the worst person to be associated with if you want to keep a secret.

edit: Jace said that their 'business' was making a lot of money but that it was 'under the table'... is this a reference to Tyce's #easymoney$cheme of knocking over tables at yard sales and stealing the cash from the cash box? :D

I really don't know how Jace can drink all that Monster.

I had one can at work last night to see if it could keep me awake (rough night!), I ended up nearly falling asleep and had some rather nasty gastrointestinal distress over the next 6 hours or so.
