Exactly. I'd say it's a unplanned moment the same way Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty reading the wrong movie winner was.
We all know which movie really deserved to win that year.

Another meme.

You know you look at the Academy Award nominations from 1969 through to 1981 and it is just a smorgasbord of the best fucking talent to hit the silver screen - best performances, best stories, best acting.

Most of the films in the last 10 years by comparison wouldn't just not make an Oscar, they wouldn't even make the nomination list compared to most years of the golden age.

And it isn't because I was born in that age. Of the period I am speaking I didn't even watch 90% of those films until perhaps between 2010 and 2020 and when I did I was like "What the fuck, these are incredible". The nominations that didn't win in that period today would probably walk away today with 5 oscars a piece. The difference is that great in quality.

I mean seriously, how do you hand a on Oscar to Leonardo who gets an academy award for essentially mumbling and wenching and actually speaking perhaps 3 paragraphs, when Tom Hardy actually was the man who carried the film? Reminds me of Gladiator - yeah Russel Crowe was great in it, but the real character who was conflicted and had to pull off the real performance was Phoenix.

And FFS, wear a fucking wig Jada! Every other fucking black woman does it, even you - but noooooo on the big Oscar night you just had to show the world how fucking sick you are and put it in everyone's face.

Suicide Squad got a Oscar for makeup and hair.

The movie that has a Joker with “damaged” written on his forehead won an Oscar for makeup.

Are the viewing figures in, yet? I wanna see how many millions more people have watched that slap on youtube than watched another long, shitty show full of millionaires jerking each other off.
It increased viewership over last year (13 million vs 9 million) but was still the second lowest rated Oscar telecast ever.

It’s funny that Jada who spearheaded #Oscarsowhite six years ago as a response to Will not getting a Best Actor nomination for that football concussion movie, has in the meantime seen all of her wants come to fruition: the Academy bending over backwards to feature and reward black talent, the “inclusivity” checklist that eligible films now must adhere to, the overall ghettoization and Gen Z-ing of the show itself where the focus is on d-list TikTokkers like her own fucked up offspring, and finally Big Willy campaigning his way to his grand coronation as Best Actor Ever!… only to see it all turn to ashes in her mouth.

Remember too these two are closet Scientologists who think they can “manifest” success through mind control and sheer force of will.

If he had put half of the energy from that slap into After Earth, he would've made a decent movie.
Whats with that film seen it get mocked alot but given his son is in it i am expecting the acting to be lolworthy

I mean the writings on the wall about Holywood the year saving private Ryan lost to Shakespeare in love thanks to institional corruption 'campaigning' under good old Harvey when he was just known to be a crook rather than a nonce. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he's the reason paltrow is nuts

Bro, films like Midnight Cowboy, A Clockwork Orange, Godfather, Rocky, Raging Bull, Apocalypse Now, The Sting, and films from the New Hollywood era are what I watch nowadays.

Chris would have been following a "yes, and" rule of improv. Not expecting to be slapped.

It is just so outrageous that you can have this happened and he isn't kicked out. He isn't stripped of his nomination. Yet is given an award and applauded. If there was ever any doubt Hollywood is pathetic and corrupt. We all just saw a display of how they ignore the powerful abusing people.

It's wild. It's part of the clown world we now live in, where we just see outrageous things, hypocrisy, a view behind the curtain and we're meant to pretend we don't live in ridiculous times.
Kevin Samuels talked about a story where a woman who was tasked with saving a seat for celebrity was given an Academy Aware to hold onto, and she took a picture with it and posted it on social media, only for that woman to end up getting kicked out of the Academy Awards. But Will can assault someone on the stage and the guards don’t do shit.

It’s the same thing with why Alec Baldwin isn’t in jail right now for killing the cinematographer. The same thing with why Hollywood can manipulate the taxing system of this country to avoid paying taxes.

Hollywood is an entirely different universe. I had aspirations of being an actor/voice actor when I was young, but seeing how vitriolic these entertainment circles were turned me off to it.

A lot of celebrities still act like they’re in high school. Shit is honestly sad. Seems like a lunchroom fight between two 15 year old girls. One said something that caught the other off guard so instead of throwing hands privately like real men, will bitch slaps him like a little girl in front of a live audience to virtue signal for his wife’s medicinal problem. SJWs are having a field day making commentaries defending Will’s action during this situation. Props to Chris Rock for taking it like a man, he probably cried in his car after the show was over. It seemed staged because nobody escorted Will off of the stage after he slapped Chris, but it sot of seemed real when he screamed “Keep my wife’s name out of yo fuckin’ mouth!!!!”. Chris Rock’s reaction afterward seemed genuine too.

Why the fuck didn't Jada go up there and punch him herself, if she was so pissed off? She's perfectly capable of doing so.

Honestly, yeah, it sucks, and if Chris had known about her condition, he shouldn't have said anything, but Jesus, talk about over reactions. All Will did was bring on a major Streisand Effect. At least wait until you're backstage.

I'm not the only one?
