Please point to the part in my post where I was saying this was unallowed or unfun. It's still coomer weirdness but it's extremely high effort. Someone still went to lengths to make a hopping cheese wedge, a tomato, a sausage, and a mushroom into horny bait characters.

Pretty sure it's a critique of corporate America - McDonald's, Disney, etc. Sucking up beloved American culture and using it to serve itself. The final villain himself a callback to when Popeye shilled spinach and cigarettes.

Okay I agree on the corporate angle but why specifically American? McPig is French and Peppino is Italian. Unless Peppino was hinted a New Yorkian I fail to see the connection.
 
I finished this game a couple of hours ago.

This is easily one of the best platformers I've ever played, an amazing game all the way around.

Now, I'm gonna get the P-ranks for all of the levels.
