ok i am having doubts on the first one but its NOLA so anything can happen

Actually, I don't think battling is a core part of Pokemon's success.

Think about it, what do you want to do, even if you are autistically serious about Pokemon? You want to build up the strongest or funnest team you can.

Sure battling Is important, but I honestly think it is a secondary goal in much the same way that fighting in Skyrim is secondary to building your character's skills. The team/character is the end in itself, while fighting is typically a means to that end.

Then again, salt is delicious.
 
So, the other day at work this woman asked me if we were playing the new Pokemon game in the kitchen. I'm wondering how common that is now, and how it affects wait times. (for the record, understaffed at the moment.)

Maybe it's a bad idea to encourage people to wander around in a reality of fast-moving objects and deadly hazards while ignoring it in favor of computer generated hallucinations.

Maybe it's entirely predictable that would have harmful results.

Maybe they get a huge lawsuit when some giant disaster happens like a truck driver driving straight into a crowd when they see a rare porkyman.

I'm waiting for the salt mine that's going to happen as people blow through their data plans and get socked with multi-thousand dollar phone bills.

Looking around, everyone is reporting that this game is a power hog but quite light on the data. Like it can take hours to rack up a few dozen megabytes.

There's a reason a waiver is included in the game's Terms of Use. They saw this shit coming from the planning stages.

Honestly just about anyone who gets in trouble because of this game has it coming though.

It doesn't use a lot of data, but people have been spending real money on pokemon items and then losing them because the servers keep crashing

The people run down by the truck driving player didn't sign that shit. Also, kids can't waive shit.
