Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

So I've gotten all the O-powers (minus Hatching because I haven't beaten the Elite Four yet :/) except the PP restoring one. For some reason I just never got it. Is there anyway to still get it, like if someone gave it to me over WiFi?

I need to replace the internal battery in my pokemon sapphire cartridge. I'm waiting on the special screwdriver I bought to come in the mail.

I dunno if you guys are still posting favorite pokemon or anything but I kinda want to share.

My favorite pokemon is Hypno.
I've had the same hypno in game since almost the beginning, they are my absolute favorite hands down.

On another note, I have a few shinies that I've gotten through breeding, one through finding it annnnd the other through trade and they are as follows:

Shiny Cubone (bred), Shiny Durant (found), Shiny Bisharp (bred) and of course Shiny Goodra (traded for)

In case I haven't given it away already, my favourite Pokemon is Dusclops (with Cofagrigus coming in a close second place). I've always been fond of creepy/ghost Pokemon and Dusclops has pretty much become like my mascot. I NEVER do a playthrough of a Pokemon game without one if I can get one into the game I'm playing.

Also - does anybody here have a foreign 6th gen game where they can get Ditto? Finding one on the GTS that doesn't demand I trade Latios or Xerneas is a real bitch at the moment.
Offer a Pokemon and ask for Ditto instead. You're more likely to get the pokemon you want if you put a Pokemon into the GTS than if you just searched for it. If it isn't foreign, just try it again.

Yo yo yo wassup my nigras. Brap.

I'm thinking of starting an Egglocke on my X, but I'm gonna need me some eggs. Anyone care to help me out? I'm planning on posting my resulting adventures here in mildly amusing little snippets, if this pleases the floor.

I was doing a Wonderlocke but I'm now incredibly bored with all the same trash mons and constant dupes clauses and fancy something a bit different.

I have several female Dream Ball Slowpoke if anyone wants one. No one on Reddit seems to, and I really don't want to just toss them into Wonder Trade. There are two 4IV, one 5 IV, one 3IV, and one 2IV; the 5IV and one of the 4IV have Own Tempo, while the others all have Regenerator. All but the 5IV and one of the 4IV (which is the only one not at Level 1) have a Bold nature. PM me if interested.

Edit: I've also got a Froakie and a Kangaskhan that I've gotten through Wonder Trade that I've taught a few TMs to with perfect or near-perfect IVs, and I have no use for them. If anyone would like those, let me know.

With breeding without the charm it's like 1out of ~4500 or something chance of getting a shiny. (the last gens it was 1 out of ~8500 chance.) My brother got a shiny espurr by fluke that way with a perfect nature, but horrible IV spread. But In the game code and early days of XY people found out that each egg had a code that matches with trainer ids. So if the egg's hidden ID was 12345 and my trainer ID was 12345, that egg is a 100% a shiny if I hatched it. If i gave it to someone else with another ID, it just a normal, non-shiny pokemon. Nintendo patched the exploit and blocked the program used to find out the hidden IDs

But if you're ever gonna go the egg route it's gonna be long explaining, i recommend:

-getting a 'totally legit' 5-6 IV Ditto, and giving it destiny knot
-the pokemon (lets say he has 0IVs) you wanna breed with the right nature. Give that guy a Everstone. Everstones pass on the holder's nature 100%.

With each egg being hatched, it takes the IVs from the ditto to the pokemon, and eventually you'll get a 2IV or 3IV pokemon. Take this pokemon and replace the parent at the daycare. Give them the Everstone again and hatch more eggs.

3rd generation should now have 2-3 IVs 'permanently' as 90% of the eggs will have 2-3 random max IVs. The ditto will now put in the missing 3 max IVs. It's gonna get tedious but you can stop at either 5IVs with the missing IVs being in a shitty stat (ex: Talonflame having 31/0/31/31/31/31, that 0 being Attack.) or go full tryhard and get a 6IV pokemon. To get that put up the 5IV baby with the ditto and have a ton of patience.

God I hate 'totally legit' 6 IV Ditto. And yet, I desperately want one.

I have a ton of 6 IV pokes from farming back in the days of DPP, and many of them are also shiny. That's from me being a loser with no life, rather than any kind of pokebuilding app. Unfortunately since I brought them all over through White they all say they're from that game and it makes it look like they're hacked. Trust me, if I could make pokebuilder work, I'd use it to get a breeding ditto!

I get my best breeding IV results (and Venusaur can attest to this because I've given her a ton of my IV breeding eggs/babies) from breeding one of my DPP 6 IV pokes with a destiny knot to a high IV poke from a different language game, usually Japan. I routinely breed 4 IV babies to trade and 5 IVs aren't uncommon.

Spurred on by the Pokemon-based Connor parody in the Connor Bible Thread, I've decided to, for the first time, actually play a Pokemon game (prior to now, I'd only played briefly on other peoples' games). I decided to start from the beginning, and I started playing Pokemon: Blue Version today. As of now, I'm at Pewter City, and I'm having fun so far, so I'll continue. I took some screenshots of my progress; the names are all Connor-related, because I was inspired to play in the first place by the parody.

Unrealistically, Connor actually accomplishes something in video game world.

I fought the rival a second time whilst wandering like a newbie towards what I can only assume is the site of the final battle. Fortunately, I won again.

Poke'mon is one of those things I grew up with as a kid and have never really lost a love for; I don't collect the cards or random Poke'mon-oriented merchandise anywhere near as much as I used to, but I always save up to get the newer games if I've got the system for them, generally the hand-held ones.

Current Poke'mon endeavor is trying to hatch a shiny Bagon via Matsuda Method and let me tell you that is some tedious work.

I'm currently shiny hunting because there's literally nothing else to do in the post games if you're not into competitive battling. Plus, I have the Shiny Charm so that makes things easier. Still tedious as fuck, though. My favorite recent catch is a shiny Ralts I got via the Dexnav. Any other shiny hunters out there?

So far I've had the best shiny luck I've ever had on my Y version. I hatched my shiny Croagunk, I found a Trevenant in a random encounter, and I got a shiny Skrelp while chain-fishing (with the worst possible nature though argh). I was on-and-off hunting a Shiny Klefki on Y version up until I got Alpha Sapphire and never got one. :(

Right now I'm training up a Cradily with Suction Cups and I think I'll get back into chain fishing on ORAS once he's done.
