Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

While The Sidewalk Ended, I decided to actually start with my hack.
What I mainly did was fix almost all of the glitches and bad esign decisions following the pokecrystal tutorials on the pokegold isassembly, though the wave code does not work anymore because I tried following the tutorial that merged all five sine codes int one code. You can see this from the star staying still instead of circling around the Game Freak symbol in the intro. I also decapitalised most of the game (though 'Pokémon' is 'POKémon' because of my lack of knowledge here), renamed a few items, changed the 'would like to battle' message in light of Turo and Sada' situations, and had Mom actually recognise that you know how to use a Pokégear.

thank fuck i haven't bothered with the great tusk/iron tread raids yet. ffs, it's like they don't test their shit.

so i've been just kinda wandering aimlessly around that giant hidden cave inside area zero and maybe i'm just really lucky, but within maybe an hour or two i ran into a shiny golduck, gible, and chansey. absolutely garbage shinies, but lolidc. i also found a shiny sableye and greavard in that area a while ago. and while wandering the crystalline cave area inside area zero i found a shiny glimmet. idk, it's kinda cute, it grew on me. /humblebrag

Well now you can't, all of the raid events that were supposed to happen have been postponed for who knows how long because of this stupid oversight. I wanted to farm Chesnaught again. *sigh*
not even BDSP was this bad holy shit lmaooooooooooooooooooo
I wish I could laugh at this, though, like I did BDSP's reveal trailer. That shit sent me for hours after it was revealed, but I can only laugh at this for like 3 minutes before I just get upset
If you're gonna be terrible at your job, GF, at least do it in a way that's funny (like ILCA did) damn it

well, shit, and i wanted to snag an iron treads or two. oh well, i could always trade for them. farming chesnaught seems like a good idea in hindsight, because it was one of the easiest mighty raids i've done. oh well... :C

I decapitalised more of the game, including moves, marts, and the Gold part of the Pokédex entries. There are still a few places, mainly with Pokémon status and PC, that nee decapitalisation.
Besides that, I changed a few names, changed an accidentally unfortunate message in the Pokémon Centre, simplified clock reset, and made the saving process faster. These were all from tutorials, though.

The biggest part was that I managed to get some sort of sine code working. I just needed the sine references to refer to the sine code in the home folder instead of the math folder. However, that caused the contents to spill out of ROM0. I knew tha the compiler was not magical in assigning everything to free memory! What I did wa strip ou the intro, simplify the Strength queue code, removed a few things from the credits, and eventually started commenting out a lot of unreferenced code. That managed to make the code fit, though I had to demacro the code before the code can compile.

The sine code technically works, but now the sine code made movements crazy. Ho-Oh and Lugia in the title screen are strobing vertically, whereas a Pokémon in battle goes through panic whenever thons stats get lowered.
I tried porting the code from the patched branch, but I had to comment out pretty much all unrefereced code in the home folder, and even then the code did not work. I restored the previou sine code, then.
I wonder if there i something wi the sine table or the conditionals...

Later, I might restore the last part of the intro (the one with Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard) but change the characters to Meowscarada, Quaquaval, and Skeledirge.

How do I mount this mod to my Minecraft server?

I do not know. I do not play Minecraft.

Either way, I already managed to fix the sine problem.
I wen through not only the patched branch but also the source code of Rangi24's Polished Crystal source. However, every attempt at fixing my code and following the lead of the patched and Polished Crystal branches either led to no change, the previous problem, or the sines no longer working. An attempt to manually port the code from Polished Crystal to pokegold only had the sine code broken in a different way, since the star in the opening stayed in the bottom-right corner instead of actually swirling around the GameFreak logo.
However, I found a clue with Polished Crystal's math sine file: pokegold oes not have the farjp macro. Since the sine code does run from the home sine file, the problem is wi the code itself, not its placement. Moreover, getting the sprites moving is fine. The problem is getting them to move to the proper places, which mean tha the sine table might be generating incorrect values. I looked into the 9-bit branch, then eventually had the home sine file say "farjump Sine", thus using a macro that does run in pokegold, then used the sine table from the math sine file in the 9-bit branch.
I am keeping the old, bad code just in case I want some comic moments in my hack.
Per the usual, I decapitalised more.

Notes on Final Team:
-You can never have too many Dark-types in this game. Lucky me!
-Vaporeon/Umbreon=OP Wall that carried me through the Elite Four. Bonus points for having one of the best custom sprites in the entire game while also not being useless af.
-Same goes for Absol/Arcanine, but instead of being a wall, it's a truck that runs everything over if it can get at least one Swords Dance off.
-Something weird happened with the game's randomization feature which led to me having a surplus of Vulpixes. This is why two of my final team members are Ninetales fusions. That, and they look cool, especially the Houndoom one. The stats on them are really good, too. The Jolteon one would've actually swept the entire Champion's team if it hadn't gotten oneshotted by a rain-boosted Hydro Pump.
-While it looks cool, has great stats, and moves, my Tyranitar/Charizard fusion didn't help much during the late-game due to it being a bit slow, and having a crippling Water-type weakness that unfortunately a lot of trainers exploit, especially during the Elite Four. Putting Sand Stream on it was also a bad idea too because it just did more harm than good because of constantly having to switch out.
-While it looks utterly amazing, has fantastic coverage, and stats, my Roserade/Typholsion fusion didn't due much during the Elite Four either due to just being very frail. It was also kind of a bitch to get, so keep that in mind if you want to get one yourself if you decide to play this game.

Overall Opinion on the Game: Game's fine. Not as great as people are hyping it up to be, but it's fine. It gets a little boring once the initial intrigue of the fusion mechanic wears off, but if you want a unique pokemon fan game that's decently challenging, this is for you.

to add more fun, a randomizer would open up a ton of possible fusions you otherwise wont see.

laughed my ass off to this

Well I finally finished the Pokédex in Scarlet, I only needed six more Pokémon (Ceruledge, Eiscue for some ungodly reason, Iron Bundle, Iron Thorns, Iron Valiant, and Miraidon) to complete it. I traded away three spare Ursalunas to get half of 'em (Ceruledge, Iron Bundle, and Iron Thorns), the others needed some Pokémon I had on-hand or to transfer in (Eiscue needed an Alcremie, Iron Valiant needed a Hisuian Lilligant for some funny reason, and I had to trade away a spare Shiny Roaring Moon and slap a Booster Energy onto it to get Miraidon).

My only complaint is that the Miraidon has a VERY high chance from one of those Twitch giveaway channels (OT matches up with a Mexican Twitch channel that specializes in that stuff, ideal Tera Type and Nature, at Lv. 100, etc.) but since it passed the GTS's checks and entered my HOME account without issue I'm not particularly worried about getting the banhammer for it.

Well, now Shiny Hunting in Scarlet's gonna be fun come the DLC.

EDIT: And after a few minutes of making this post I find a Shiny Croagunk in a group, I have a feeling that that my Shiny luck will probably end up like PLA's did (in other words, I'll have to transfer some spare Tera Raid 'mons to home in order to make room for more Shiny boxes).
