Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

The new footage of Pokemon Snap has been out for a little bit now.

Looks okay... I guess. I don't know why I am less hype now.
Because the mysticism of being a new game is pulled out now, a snap sequel has been asked for since GameCube and Pokémon channel was such a disaster. I havent really looked at the new footage cause I like to be surprised and its sharing feature might have me pick it up later

No that has nothing to do with it. I think it is the Pokemon. Too many new ones. I hate the new Pokemon designs. Most of Gen 2 blows and everything after that is trash.

Most of gen 2 blows? The designs began to get lackluster at around generation 7, what are you on about?
Gen 1 only or you get launched into space on a ship full of like-minded people but with only enough oxygen to last an hour. In the corner are five spare oxygen tanks that can keep you alive long enough to survive reentry in four hours. But there are not enough for all of you and as cultural norms of politeness and decorum break down, the cabin of the shuttlecraft becomes a stone-age free for all as people begin to realize that the arm rests on each seat are easily detachable.

Fucking duh.

The name of the region was one of those things I found out about years later because I only played Red and I don't think they ever mentioned the name. So I generally dislike the names.

Anyway, the main reason all newer generations suck is because if I am buying a Pokemon game and I cannot catch them all and bomb the harbor, then something is seriously wrong.

Gen 1 was the best because I could catch them all.

You could even catch pokemon that are not even real like Missingno.

Take that people who only catch 151 people.

It was named in the Japanese versions of the games, also it is not the most creative name because unlike future regions it has the exact same name as the region of Japan it is based on.

A testament to decay of the series.
The sad part is tha there seems to be no way out of this conflict. The direction of Pokémon is to ruin, bu the Pokéclones are not hat optimistic, either:
Catch-up on all these games and their fates, by the way:
Monster Crown: Game is purchaseable on steam but it's completely fucked. Buggy as all friggin' hell, followers strafe if you turn too quickly, really buggy. Quit the game and got 6 achievements, none of which I'd actually earned. I've apparently beaten six bosses without starting a new game.

Monster Sanctuary: Playable and pretty good, from what I've played of it. It's basically a metroidvania as an RPG - catching monsters to unlock new navigation methods. Easy best.

The Wu Xing: Last response was Jan 2, 2020. Never had anything even resembling gameplay footage so I'm not exactly surprised.

Temtem: Next update SOON. they stated late march/early april. I'll have to revive the thread.

Coromon: Release scheduled for May/June. Seems to have kept a low boil going on interest. Doesn't look bad, at least. Speaking of looking bad...

Karatkuro/A Goddess Lost in Trance: all that have been seen recently are gif of character animations and pretty meaningless updates, like adjusting level up text. however, the twitter account now has a trans flag background it didn't have before. Make of that what you will.

Ploxmons: Giving regular updates still, with the core essentials of what you'd need to know. Looks like it may be releasing soon.

Casette Beasts: Still chugging along. Definitely has some interesting concepts - it's version of shinies is 'bootleg' Beasts, which have a chance to be any different type from it's usual. There's also a type that can't be gotten unless you make a beast that type, or you catch a bootleg - the Glitter type.
Digimon is looking better, though.

to me, i "like" swsh because for lack of a better comparison, it reminds me of MGS: twin snakes in a way. they're both so ridiculous and cringeworthy story-wise that it makes it intriguing enough to want to know more. that, and after i actually got swsh i found myself having way more fun playing it than i ever expected. but holy shit the dp remakes look like hot ass. this was the one time they should've kept GF involved for, like, one more game in this situation, because i wanted to see dp remakes in the non-linear map style so goddamn bad.
let's hope legends looks slightly better closer to release, it seems interesting
also there are tall asshole blonde men who can step on me in both twin snakes and swsh

No offense, but how is a reddit post pointing out what most pokemon players already know and acknowledged any different from what's been said here?

It reads like someone coming to the same realization that many others pessimistic about series has come to.

Because even though that the writing was on the wall by the time the reviews for the 3DS and the Switch titles came out, they still bought them.

I won't suck Tojiri's feet or some gay shit like that but there is some sense of irony to me related to his original vision of trying to replicate bug catching after urbanization fucked up forests and shit. But as the series went on much like cities become more developed so did the Pokémon formula become more set in stone and down to a science. Now with Acreus it seems to be trying to be developing an entirely new formula so that would be more like taring the entire thing down and starting from the foundation to make a new city.
Again I don't think letting a man who probably hasn't had direct involvement in the series since the early 2000's would fix the series, but getting back to that singular core idea he had might help them refresh the burnout they have from the series overall

I mean considering there is a literal pokemon based on islamic terrorism in Clover, understandable
I personally just find Tajiri fans to be super obnoxious. The ones that claim anything after Crystal is souless because he isn’t involved in them. Do we even know how he feels about the games made by Masuda after he stopped directing? Because this whole “vision” thing Tajiri fans sperg about makes it sound like he would never approve of anything that goes against it.
