I do know, I had a family member go through one in 2019, it took two years. It all depends on the debtor, location, quality of the home, and the creditor. Ruckersville isn't the sticks and it's not a county foreclosure, there's no way that house stays his for 10+ years without payments and him not living in it.

Just because he believes some far out things, I don't think that's enough for him to be deemed criminally insane.

He doesn't meet any of these:

Retardation, even mild, actually does work as a 'free pass' to some extent, but it's a pass that gets you sent to a what's very generously referred to these days as a "mental health facility". Fun fact people don't know about those institutions; they're generally allowed to keep you there indefinitely if they deem it necessary. Oddly enough, he might be more fucked in his current position than he'd be if he didn't have the mental block'a aww-tism.

Barbs dementia has gotten so much worse within the last two years that she probably had no idea what was going on or that Chris was even her son. The dementia element and her vulnerability makes this so much worse than if it was the stupid narcissistic Barb we knew and loved from 5+ years ago.

I think it’s more likely that every time he’s been in trouble with the law it’s always ended up with just a light slap on the wrist so he thinks that’s all that will happen here too

His mind is more broken than a glass smashed into a million pieces. It's obvious he literally thinks our universe is going to merge with cartoons and anime. Even worse that he thinks he's a yellow Sonic living in his own body which he prefers to be called "Mama".
I don't think he's going to last long in prison. Either he gets his ass beaten to death or he gives himself the rope.
