DELPHI, Ind. (WLS) -- Indiana State Police are expected to release more details Monday morning about an arrest in the 2017 murder of two girls in Delphi

Police are expected to name the suspect during a news conference in Delphi at 9 a.m. Central Time.

Residents told ABC7 they've interacted with the suspect multiple times and said the individual reportedly worked at a local pharmacy.

Sources tell ABC's Indianapolis affiliate a person has been arrested in connection with the murders.

"The state police never really discussed details on what was found at the scene, but the belief all along is that there was at least some sort of genetic material," Brad Garrett, ABC News contributor and former FBI agent. "Clearly they have something that links him to the crime."

The case has been shrouded in mystery since February 2017 when 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German seemingly disappeared after going for a hike. Their bodies were found the next day.

"How did this come to light almost five years after this crime was committed?" Garret said. "Something broke in recent days, at least to the point that it gave them enough probable cause and evidence to arrest this new person."

The girls' killer was able to avoid capture, even with thousands of tips coming in to police and despite one of the teens, Libby, taking this grainy video the day of their disappearance showing a man walking towards the girls.

Authorities have said he may be the killer. Libby also captured a chilling recording, thought to be the man's voice.

Libby's family reacted to the update expected later Monday. Her sister Kelsi tweeted, "just know how grateful I am for all of you."

Just know how grateful I am for all of you. No comments for now, any questions please refer to the Carroll county prosecutors office. There is tentatively a press conference Monday at 10am. We will say more then. Today is the day%uD83D%uDC9C

I think the cult stuff is retarded it sounds like typical desperate cope from defense attorneys to create reasonable doubt in the minds of the (eventual) jury. This is like when Casey Anthony's attorney accused her dad of doing it or whatever that was. That jury of tards bought it.

Innyhoo

I think he covered the bodies with sticks and shit to try and hide them but gave up, either because there wasn't enough shit around to sufficiently cover them, or because he just felt he had to jet out of there so he stopped at just a few sticks.
Yeah I agree. I understand that there are some schizo motherfuckers in this world who will go out and ritualistically kill people because the voice of Umbalik from Planet Glorsnak told them to, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. I’m just not buying it. It will be an interesting trial to watch though, for sure.

Sure, Odinism/Asatru is just a crazy cult theory, and totally hasn't been growing in the US since the 90's.
The Odinism feels real to me. Not sure what it will mean for the case, but it's like seeing gang signs spray painted all over a crime scene, it'd be stupid not to at least look into it.
Nothing in Norse polytheism ever taught people to rape and murder little girls.

I think the lawyers also said that his jailors also have Odinist face tattoos.
The request also describes a guard at the prison who has “a symbolic face tattoo of Odin’s Spear and multiple hand and finger tattoos emblematic of Odinism and/or Norse mythology. This same prison guard had a public Facebook account that also displayed the same tattoos in addition to a necklace
with “Thor’s Hammer” inscribed with the letters BRSRCR, an acronym for “berserker” which is a very specific type of Norse battle ax and the name given to warriors fighting in honor of Odin. Other photos displayed three interlocking triangles; another symbol associated with Odinism.”
So either they are seeing Odinism everywhere they look, or something really wacky is going on out there. And the judge, at least, is definitely off her rocker.

We found the site Asatru, the bad attempt at apologia is a tell.
I'm actually a Continental Celtic polytheist and I just don't see how killing random white girls fits with their belief in valor and honor. It's cowardly and disgusting.
Although they did seem to have a history of human sacrifice.
All peoples have that, it's pretty much universal to culture for most of human history but no modern polytheist supports that except the tiniest lunatic fringe. It was polytheist Greeks and Romans that put a stop to it first, not Christians or Jews.

Neo-Nazi "Odinism" is common, it's more of a racial symbol than a religion for most of them. I doubt there is a whole Norse polytheist religious cult running around the woods in this little town, murdering children.

The Odinism thing is pretty popular in certain circles out where this happened. It's more of a social club than religion, but it IS a thing.

Of course not all pagans or pagan cosplayers are about murdering kids. But if a murderer was a part of a group like that, they might well leave markings or arrange sticks or whatever they do.

In other news, the lawyers and judges are still slappy-fighting.

I am still of the opinion that if Richard Allen was there, he didn't work alone and the leaked crime scene stuff and the details given in the Franks Motion show it. A lot of people are pissed off that they can't easily pin the whole damn thing on Allen and look no further. (They will do that very thing anyway, but now people might have more awkward questions.)

Found an interview with a cop that I thought was a lil' bit interesting.

The Prof
Let's Talk Delphi (#71): A Conversation with Retired Indiana Master Trooper "J"

It's not the most professional interview but if you listen to everything the retired cop has to say? Considering how weird rural Indiana people can be, he might be lucky to still be around. I mean, going alone into a butcher shop near where two kids' bodies were found drained of blood? Sounds like the opening of a horror movie.

Lot of stuff on that channel.

So what the fuck is going on with this case? From what I’ve gathered the guy they arrested might not be the guy, and this is all a stitch up because they fucked up/covered up in the initial investigation? Or is that not accurate?

It seems like the prosecution and cops are trying to pin the murders on one single man, "Bridge Guy" as he's called.
They say Richard Allen is Bridge Guy.
As far as we know, the thing linking him to the crime (other than his own admission that he was in the area that day) is a bullet found with the bodies. Supposedly it matches a gun that Allen owns.

Some information about the case (that a lot of people are turning themselves inside out to keep secret) shows that the girls weren't just kidnapped and killed in a public area in broad daylight, but that they had their throats cut, were drained of blood, undressed and one of them dressed again, plus some tree limbs arranged over the bodies to make some sort of pagan symbols.
One guy did all that? In the time they say it happened? I have many doubts.

Delphi After Dark on youtube outlines a lot of other things, like how many other guys in the area seemed to Know Things and are associated with a group that uses those same pagan symbols.

It just looks a lot like they're not wanting to actually look for any and all of the people involved for whatever reason, and are wanting to put it 100% on Richard Allen and wash their hands of it, truth be hanged.

Reminds me vaguely of what happened with the West Memphis Three. Those three little boys will never get justice. I hope that doesn't become the case for Abby and Libby.
