do these people have no jobs? it's hard enough to manage serious friendships + just one relationship when you're full time occupied. this entire polyamory stuff sounds so extremely impractical and stressfull and can probably only be done by people who don't fully commit to a relationship anyway, so they have just tons of half assed fuck buddys in the end
but agree they're great source for drama because no matter how much they claim to be enlightened, they still get jealous and crave that sweet exclusivity and stability a jumpy cheater doesn't provide and their communication is abysmal even if polys always screech about how they're kings at communication
may edit when I actually read the thread
I know people like like that irl, it's spreading. they're totaly miserable with each other and are only poly because they think cheating is inevitable. they also tried to convince me and my partner at the time to have an open relationship, too.
ah this thread reminded me that most "poly" people on the internet are in "long distance relationships" and have actually never seen each other irl, they're basically just chat friends... I'll never get how you can claim to be in love or in a relationship with someone you've never even met.
If they're miserable with each other why not just break up? Sometimes it's time to just realise it's not working out. Instead they go into polyamory because they think cheating is inevitable?
I think most polyamorous people toot their own horns a lot while actually being very miserable with the situation. But they've gotten into a community and will lose all their friends and their support system if they decide that it's not for them. Because they aren't really that open minded if they REEEE at anyone with a different opinion or anyone who admits how miserable they are.
