The *one* successful poly pairing I've seen, the third person would usually last around 6-7 months at the very most before flying off. The other two "non traditional relationships" ive encountered were basically just three-way exclusive relationships. And all three of these examples were exclusively gay males and all three were brutally honest with eachother and others.
They're quick to say that something upsets them and how it makes them feel, there are no white lies to save face or to keep the peace everything is put on the table.
honestly it's not so much the fact that they turned being a slut into a #woke thing that gets on my nerves, it's the pedestal they put themselves on while they do it.
If you love someone and get along with them and want to be in a relationship, then why the living fuck would you be like "I'mma go find a GF 2.0 with bigger tits, but we still together." and be SHOCKED that they would be upset.
In the end this is just people being huge sluts/perverts while hiding under some sort of "relationship" type, or just a excuse to not want to be in there own current relationship but don't want to handle it like adults.
From an outsiders perspective it looks like Polyamory is about hammering nails into your dick while smiling through the pain and trying to convince other people that "it's not that bad."
The Userbase The vast majority of the users are white and will immediately argue with any black person who points out how racist poly people are. The majority of women are bisexual and the majority of men are straight even though this makes no statistical sense. They're also nerds who LOVE board games and conventions.

"How dare you get upset that I'm sleeping around while using you financially? We agreed to be poly! You're just stirring up drama, I'm the real victim here! If you cared about my feelings at all, you'd be okay with me fucking whomever I want!"
do these people have no jobs? it's hard enough to manage serious friendships + just one relationship when you're full time occupied. this entire polyamory stuff sounds so extremely impractical and stressfull and can probably only be done by people who don't fully commit to a relationship anyway, so they have just tons of half assed fuck buddys in the end
but agree they're great source for drama because no matter how much they claim to be enlightened, they still get jealous and crave that sweet exclusivity and stability a jumpy cheater doesn't provide and their communication is abysmal even if polys always screech about how they're kings at communication
Being up front about troon genitals used to be considered reasonable, and now it's fascist. Do you think we'll reach a point where you're a fucking polyphobic shitlord for expecting your partner not to cheat?
I know people like like that irl, it's spreading. they're totaly miserable with each other and are only poly because they think cheating is inevitable. they also tried to convince me and my partner at the time to have an open relationship, too.
ah this thread reminded me that most "poly" people on the internet are in "long distance relationships" and have actually never seen each other irl, they're basically just chat friends... I'll never get how you can claim to be in love or in a relationship with someone you've never even met.
Probably already been said but the term "fluid bonded" is probably one of the funniest things I have heard in a while. You had sex without a condom, good job, here's your medal.
I guess that's better than @The Dude, he's facebook friends with a morbidly obese woman who likes to scream at retards, eat McFlurries and is Zelda's cuckquean.
I'll be live and let live towards the idea of polyamory even though it's not for me, but Jesus Christ, this crowd so full of crazy drama whores! Then again, what should I expect from Reddit.
Just call it an open relationship where you get romantic with more than one person as opposed to just boning the other people, not some new thing. People might respect the idea more. Though your constant drama won't help.
If you can't handle your own baggage, what makes you think unloading it on multiple partners is a good idea? Maybe I'm just a boring cis-heteronormative hater, but polyamory never seems to work out.
I've got a Facebook friend who's a #woke male feminist that wants another girlfriend to be intimate with. While he desires women, he likes to look extremely feminine and wear makeup. He's into the whole "gender is a spectrum" shit and whines like Chris when he realizes he can't get girls to casually fuck. I don't think many women would be attracted to someone that presents as female but has a dick, straight or otherwise.
I've known poly IRL. I can safely say that none of these arrangements ever last for any longer than six months at best. Jealousy, sexually transmitted disease, multiple pregnancies are usually just the tip of the iceberg as to why poly relationships are a bad idea.
