I honestly am curious what its been that makes this new batch of users so freaking insufferable. My leading theory is that some toktiker or someone similar named the Kiwifarms as some ultra free speech tranny hating crusade against social decay and so a bunch of absolute garbage head individuals signed up here not at all understanding that this site was always about laughing at dumb people from the sidelines regardless of who they were. It further feels that they don't understand what the concept of a forum is either. Major social media platforms don't really have a culture and bots make up half the user base anyways so posting there really is like throwing stones in the void. But these exceptionally awful users seem to have no concept of the community and genuine interaction that defines forums. It also feels like so many more people these last couple of years have fallen victim to "Rage for fun" propaganda to a point where it makes you wonder if they even still have a concept of fun that doesn't involve anger filled rants and threats of violence. Which is different from blowing off steam where its the relief of releasing that anger that feels good; Rage for fun is enjoyment in the anger itself, if anything a cathartic release would just kill the fun.

Also I think Null should be mad that a bunch of new users are shitting up everything they've touched. Even though I'm basically part of the 2021 crowd I still remember this site getting fucked over by DDoS attacks like half a dozen times and god knows I would just blow my fucking brains our if I had to deal with new and ongoing legals problems on a constant basis. Null works pretty damn hard to keep this site up and running and a lot of users don't seem to appreciate that.

We have it pretty good here. Where else can you not only call some one a nigger faggot without getting banned, but do it with real interesting users rather than full anonymity and mostly bots like 4chan and do it somewhere that isn't desperately trying to shove extremist political views down your throat?
Not many other places I'll tell you that.

No it's me. I speak on behalf the kiwifarms user base and I can tell you that not only are we an inclusive and open community, we are also one that likes a good joke. Now, I'm aware that our sense of humor here can be a somewhat "edgy" but I can assure you it's all in jest.

We here at the farms pride ourselves on having both a diverse community and staff. Many of our mods are POC and trans and Null is an ethnically jewish.

I recommend incorporating these into site rules ala "No trolling plans", I agree with them. Enable mods to enforce them when possible. People being cruel to children and animals do not belong on the site. Warns and temp bans for being Mad Online and posting their stupid revenge fantasies about lolcows they hate.

Also, I recommend making a "laugh", "entertaining" or "funny" react (the winner react kind of serves this purpose but a more clear react will help) to promote entertaining posts. Internet good boy points are stupid, but people actually care about them for some reason. Political Sperging has given us a proven track record that adding reacts can change the site culture in a positive way. When it was added, people started using it and political sperging outside A&H has definitely gotten better. Having negrates for undesired behavior works, so we should try goodrates for desirable behavior.
