Principles of the Kiwi Farms

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Part of KF’s inherent problem is that it cannot be a fun site because of how the Internet works. It cannot be SA 2.0 (when SA was at the top of its game) because the Internet has changed so much since then, and has evolved into more a bar on the edge of the Internet where everyone that has been driven off of the Internet comes to congregate, as well as people who just want to start shit. The latter group needs to be kicked out, as well as attempted raiders who want to turn the forum into a left-wing hugbox (these are particularly vocal about A&N, and have join dates of late 2019 or later).

The former bring traffic and probably won't stick around long-term after their purpose has been served (see: Battersbee case) but they're not helpful in creating a sustainable community and group of regulars.
I'm not sure if there is a difference to the old timers here or not, but I lurked on here for years without joining because it was more interesting to me to see what the people who had been here for years longer had to say than any BS I thought I could contribute. It was Bella that finally made me want to give my two cents. I'm sure I'm not the only one that just didn't officially hop in until shit went crazy-go-nuts. So I guess the question is do quasi people get lumped in with people that seriously just joined recently to be asshats. (Assuming the answer is yes)

I average ~100 posts a year. This is because if I have nothing to ADD to a conversation I simply READ.

Call it newfags or >join date, doesn't matter. What a lot of you niggers raised by single mothers need to know is something called...

Instead of rattling off schizophrenic diatribes and replyfagging, you could instead contribute to discourse. Hell, imagine if a fraction of users actually found new info, archived, or even wrote coherent thoughts.

Here are some tips.

Quit taking this site so seriously. It is not your personal blog. It is not your personal army. Shitpost about politics here or there, sure, but don't let it become your sword to swing.

Do not be a mass posting whore. Sticker scores are gay, don't farm for them. It's obvious and sad. Selectively post in threads that interest you and let the ones you don't like die. The easiest way to kill a thread is to simply ignore it. Every user has a miniscule amount of control over this community and you exert that control by DECIDING where & when to post.

Post where it's relevant. Keep A&H shit to that board. Want to make a thread about the time you shit your pants when your mom's boyfriend took away your iPad? Off-Topic, friend.

Use that fucking report button and rate people. You don't have to rage in a thread and play janny (unless you're a tranny).

Enjoy your time. Some people on this site have full-time jobs or commitments, and posting is only a hobby. We read/post to enjoy our time and laugh at shit. So should you.

In closing: cope, seethe, dilate.

Null, my friend, your website will always attract those who see in specific lolcows elements of themselves that are of the same quality yet at different degrees of intensity. This is the true value of kiwi farms; as a place where shadow projection can become, hopefully, over time, conscious; a place where the mentally sick, emotionally immature, and psychologically dysfunctional can see the ultimate results of their social and intellectual inadequacies personified in a real person who has an equivalent or corresponding insufficiency; the joyless pricks you've identified as ruining this site are the ones who will always and forever keep it running.

There will always be tension between those who have freed themselves from their lolcowish tendencies and those who are only just starting out on their journey of self-awareness. The joyless pricks are simply new, and here to insult and A-log the lolcows; not realizing that the ones they're really here to criticize are themselves.

Perhaps there's a way to educate them as to this process? Because they can very easily destroy any community, even one this resilient. But they cannot ever be dissuaded from coming here.

I'm more of a lurker than a reader of this forum. What does the disruptive guest badge entail and how does one get it?
