I don't think this is going to improve posts overall at all, and will lead to less user effort as they're denied their dopamine. We ruthlessly mock it, but it is a big driver for large portions of the site.

I think people will act worse to each other too

I get that Nool removed the stickers in an attempt to make people less autistic, but what's with the change to Watched Threads?

What's wrong with it? It seems the same to me other than there's an abbreviated version putting some on the front page too, which seems like a good change to me.

These changes seem to go against having fun on this webzone. The "problems" caused by DMs and reaction scores are users making fools of themselves and receiving immediate community feedback on how and what they post. They serve a number of purposes and generate very funny content.

If anything that's the kind of feedback that leads to hugboxes. We're in serious danger of that already.

I have to disagree. The femboys imploding and eating each other alive on 0 2's catler thread is nothing short of unlimited comedy, and the faggots trying to out-sell one another down the river has been some of the best recent drama. It's some wholesome, old-school autism that's been nothing short of a laugh riot. Anybody not having fun will either forget in a week and adapt, or go to some other forum and bitch which in itself will provide more comedy.

The only dogs of any breed I've met that have been aggressive are ones that are either trained to be aggressive or ones that were abused until they became aggressive.

I know two pitbulls that were rescues from abusive situations. One of them is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met and he's old and blind and can barely walk now so I don't think he's going to be killing any babies. The other one's sketchy. But that one was beaten and had crack smoke blown in his face on a regular basis. He still wasn't aggressive, just overly defensive and fearful around strangers. Definitely not a dog you want to bring around kids though.

Every pit I've met has been a neurotic piece of aggressive shit. Doesn't matter how nice the owner is most don't exercise them anywhere near enough.

They also immediately tell people if they're out of line, off base or being some other kind of net negative. Hugboxes will never truly take root on this site because of the average user's status as a chaos agent. It's why people tag in known hugbox breakers like Raptor, HHH and JAB. Those with opposite viewpoints appear naturally or are summoned. Hilariously even in the attempted hugbox DMs, people who are hostile to its general agenda are always invited. Unchaining people from their desire to receive the nice informative or winner sticker doesn't offer much upside in my view.

What your posting would indicate we agree. The Catler drama wouldn't exist without DMs and half the posts in that thread were generated by people receiving negative or positive reaction notifications. It's the biggest laugh I've had in months and the changes today make it much less likely it happens again, which is part of why I'm opposed.
