After very few questions about copyright and a warning, Chris has stated that there will be no merchandise sold at OmegaCon, and no attempt for a vendor table. I'm surprised Chris gave up that fast.

He's probably already thinking of loopholes, like selling from across the street similar to what Ouya tried to do at E3. I wouldn't bother thinking too hard because he'll just end up skirting around whatever rules you set up anyway. As long as you've done your part telling him the basic rules, you can just sit back, let it play out, and have security do their job when Chris waddles into whatever gray area he thinks he invented. Then come back and tell us about it.
Pray forgive me for not knowing exactly how US arms laws work, but would it be legitimately possible for him to even bring pepper spray into an event like that? Then again, I guess if he brought it to a video game store, he could probably bring it anywhere. It's mostly merch selling that I'm worried about at this point, and taking any mace away if its in his bag.

I should be talking with him soon, to discuss the rules. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on him at the con though. I don't have a solution to any of the weird schemes Chris could come up with, but I will not tolerate any rule breaking. US doesnt have strict regulation on Peppersray, anybody can buy a can without a permit(In Virginia),But directly from Omegacon website:Pray forgive me for not knowing exactly how US arms laws work, but would it be legitimately possible for him to even bring pepper spray into an event like that?
If he were a bit more business savvy, he could have found a way to sell them as Valentine day greetings, he could have used snippets from the lesbian sleepover announcement to make greeting cards and find a way to insert the Sonichu medallion and push them as special limited V-Day edition, he could have even made Sonichu red........but, I'm sure Autism and vanity won't ever let him stray from his artistic vision. The medallions like are seriously the most sensible thing in the entire cwc market. They make gag gifts for people who know and don't know. Its dirt cheap to make and reproducible. And it's 30$. I might end up buying one or shipping one to my friend to freak them out miserably
Wasting money on stuff you don't need that might suck is what people with jobs do. It's like going to a movie, chances are it might suck, might have wasted 10-20 dollars but shitll grow back in a week
I still can't believe he got kicked out of the maid cafe![]()
I doubt he has mace anymore. He said in one of his rambling anti-GameStop videos back in December that he disposed of it by spraying it in a hole in the ground, which is an unlawful disposal of a harmful substance. But I don't think he has it anymore.I should be talking with him soon, to discuss the rules. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on him at the con though. It's not exactly an "arm," but regardless, I think private parties are free to be as much stricter as they want, on their own property. I assume a con will have a ban on functional weapons of every kind due to people dressing up, which would includeDANGEROUS GAS UNLAWFUL RELEASE.
He can try to sneak it in but like @BMO said, they will be checking bags.
I want to suggest giving the maids some kind of briefing on where to get help "in case of creeps," if not down right telling them the same info about Chris you tell your organizing team, but I'm sure you guys know how to handle that professionally already.
I still can't believe he got kicked out of the maid cafeand yet it is so expectedly Chris.
I just hope the guards are male, if there was a huge lesbian security guard, I'd hate to see CWC act up just to have a mutualWe have a person permabanned for creeping on the maids called the "stare master." He comes back every year, was banned for looking up girls skirts while under the stairs. The maids know exactly what to do in case of creeps, the department head of that takes good care of issues.
Mace is also 100% banned and the venue security would take it before we did. Even if they don't, there's another layer of security, and I would have our security double check his bag for mace. Some of our volunteer security guards are bigger than Chris, so we should be fine if he becomes combative for whatever reason.
Because we know Chris is one hell of a fighterif he becomes combative for whatever reason.

It's usually/obviously the case with people in anime convention, there's a shit ton of eccentric people,so Chris blends in perfectlyI got the impression they thought he was a harmless eccentric.

It's not, really. People notice him occasionally, but the vast majority of Chris' outings go unnoticed. Even at nerd events. There are nerd events and gay events he goes to that no one online knows about or has documented. He's your everyday, textbook-eccentric individual, certain circumstances simply propelled him into community stardom. His efforts, combined with the efforts of countless individuals on the internet, earned him this level of infamy, and the spotlight is always on him whenever he's dealing with it out in public as a result.
He's going to be harshly judged, photographed, and gossiped about like a US celebrity in a National Enquirer magazine.
