Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

The election campaign mechanics are retarded becuase I 'm just gonna cheat to get the guy I want anyways
That's kinda lame, the elections in Brazil or the US are really well done in my opinion and do serve as an assessment to how you're performing in the mod, rewarding you with landslides for success and wipeouts for catastrophic failure.

A bit to late but I like to point that out but jews started a communist revolt in Bavaria literally months after Wilhelm got kicked out of power. Really wonder where that "antisemitism" comes from. I guess they also won't mention that Wilhelm supported workers rights and wanted to be seen as a "king of the poor" and refused to send soldiers in to suppress a workers strike in 1889.

Bring The War Home is back with a new subreddit, since the drama which killed the mod's original iteration and plans for a New England demo last year has resulted in the founder (Laura, CHAZ founder) getting definitively kicked out of the devteam and locking the r/BTWHmod subreddit in retaliation. The remaining devs have set up a new subreddit, r/BringTheWarHome, and released their first preview (actually a rehash of one of the old 'State of the Union' dev diaries, but with screenshots rather than just a loredump) on there this past 4th of July.

In no way does the change in management mean the devteam are any less far-left, prone to fantasizing about exterminating anyone to the right of Mao and shilling for the CCP than they were when Laura was at the helm, though. In fact despite purging their old chats to eliminate the cringe posts they made previously, they've gone right back to filling the new ones with garbage of the exact same caliber.

Being "King of the Workers" was a phase he quickly got out of a couple years into being Kaiser. But the problem with this mod depicting Kaiser Wilhelm as a serious dictator is that it depicts him a serious statesmen and leader when he never was. Kaiser Wilhelm put on a lot of bluster to keep up appearances that to this day people don't know that he was a massive coward and would frequently break down under the pressure of any given situation. He was a man who played emperor as if he wasn't actually a real fucking emperor. Obsessed with fancy military dress uniforms and "the lifestyle" despite only being in the military in regiments for the rich that basically just pretended that they too were soldiers.

It's also funny that the description of him in Roar of Gryphons depicts him with raging anglophobia. Because growing up he actually was one, but exclusively in the capacity of upsetting his British mother. The second he became Kaiser and his mom was out of his life; he was completely obsessed with Britain and the royal navy that it significantly influenced foreign policy and German goals. Because the Kaiser would essentially beg Britian to be on his side and constantly had to be wrangled by his ministers. It got so bad that after he won universal acclaim in Europe for condemning the Boer Wars, mean public opinion in Britain made him do a complete 180 on his statement just to appease the British and trading universal praise for international humiliation and got nothing from Britain. Not to mention all his antics inspired by Britian i.e wanted a massive colonial empire and a navy to guard it when Bismark purposefully had Germany ignore those things because they provided no return value for Germany as a nation and he saw them as things like the congress of Berlin as a tool to distract and sour relations between other nations while Germany built up its European powerbase in the background.

If Kaiser Wilhelm was alive today he'd be a member of the HOI and probably every other Paradox community and would fit in just perfectly.

>new mod/revived mod
>another 2ACW larp
>Into the trash it goes
the idea of a 2ACW in the semi modern times is impossible due to most "radical Americans" being glowies or retards whether they're tankies or siegefags, and most average Americans are moderates that don't want to see a nation blow up, most Americans are the definition of "reform over revolution", but why does the actual belief of regular Americans matter when "muh political LARP"

Or you look at a shitty meme mod in development like Extremis Ultimis where you just have fictional characters everywhere and so wacky xD factions because your dev team is filled with trannies and manchildren.

The Fire Rises is pretty cool.

This was back in the 1930s though when the CIA and other intelligence agencies were that strong.

Give it time and that mod team will be full of retards and troons, its just how most hoi4 alt history mods go. That's if the mod even comes out at all
Maybe, but The Fire Rises team is based and I have full confidence that they will remain based in the foreseeable future.

Did TNO ever explained why Germany annexed Liechtenstein but left Switzerland alone? Or why the Azad Hind Government conquered the country of Sikkim but only occupied Bhutan and installed a puppet regime there for some reason?
