Speaking of TFR bugs, I recently had a bug where Nationalist France crashed the game. I fixed it by having democratic France immediately annex them when their civil war started.

Did Millennium Dawn really suck when it first came out or during it's first couple of years? I remember all of the big hoi4 youtubers regularly playing it back in the day and having fun with it.

Wasn't Nalvany in real life had very hard core racial beliefs before aligning with US geopolitical interests? Like he talked on this forum about wanting to wipe out the peoples of the caucuses and central asia.

Navalny is quoted to have said "Crimea is not a sandwich to be pulled back and forth" when asked if he will give Crimea back to Ukraine. He was also pro Russia during the Russo-Georgian War and basically said Belarus is not a real country/the Belarusian culture/language aren't real. He's a liberal by Russian definitions. By Western? Not so much. Guy didn't deserve to die though. Very rarely are there people that actually deserve to die.
I'm going to be brutally honest and this hurts because one of the lead devs Wolfxe (for normal Novum and Global Conflict) is someone I respect and have known for a long time. It is PAINFULLY mediocre. The content ranges from 2016 era HOI4 (Ireland tree, Caucasus) to actually pretty good. (Japan, China, South Korea.) There is zero quality control.

It's okay, nowhere near the batshit greatness of TFR but if you want a decent HoI4 mod experience then it's perfect. Of course, like what @nieuport17 said the quality is very much varied from country to country. Definitely going to be slow but that's pretty much all mods taking place after decolonization.
I like how Navalny was fawned over in the west as a "liberator" when he's more like Pat Buchanan in the US as the closest comparison I can think of.

Why are there gastarbeiter in the new lore? Unless they're going for a major rewrite of the WWII lore for TNO the Germany basically steamrolled everyone so there wouldn't be this huge casualty rate causing a labour shortage and with forced labour you don't need to invite in shit tons of people to go work in the mines. Also forced labour is effectively slavery, you can just reduce it to slavery.

I agree in the sense that the programs in the East wouldn't be the same as we think of slavery (chattel slavery), though idk about the foreign guest programs but I guess Germany did still suffer a lot of casualties from WW2 and the West Russian War and probably the drug epidemic that ensued when soldiers returned from the war. I don't think it would be too hard to "rework" in the German update some time in the next century. There probably will be someone who will bitch about it whitewashing the Nazi's by having them seemingly abandon generalplan ost.
I wouldn't be surprised though if a part of this decision was motivated by some anti White bs about how Whites were never slaves, we see this with how riled up leftists get over pointing out that Irish and other Whites were indentured servants in early US. Though this is purely speculation, I don't use discord so I don't know anything about the particular user or other devs operating there.
