racing games - no not racist games you fucking ni

Nacon posted this preview picture of Ibiza in TDUSC's Season 2, and it does confirm that it only includes the town, and it will be smaller than Maui island in The Crew Motorfest:

My First Gran Turismo will be releasing on December 6, and will have 18 cars and 3 tracks available to race on:

And the Hyundai Ioniq 5N will also be coming to GT7, for watching the GT World Series Finals:

Forza Horizon 5 will be adding 2 wagons in the December Playlist.

The AMG wagon is one of them, and the other is the Cadillac CTS-V Wagon.

MXGP 24 is definitely just as bad as TDUSC was, and it's just as bad as the infamous NASCAR 21 Ignition:

Hey lads, do you think that Need for Speed: Most Wanted is an overrated nfs game? (or an overrated racing game generally speaking)

I hate how most 2000s racing games are held as masterpieces made by God, Most Wanted takes the #1 spot for that. Sure, it's not a bad game, but it's crazy to ignore all the jank it's filled with.

As of yesterday Forza Horizon 4 has been delisted from online storefronts. I believe only the demo is now available on the Microsoft Store:

Kunos Simulazioni also confirms Assetto Corsa EVO won't have online multiplayer in its first phases early access. Considering the state that racing games get released in nowadays, I think this is a good move overall.

I tried so, so, SO fucking hard to enjoy Forza Horizon 4 but I could never get through that fucking endless tutorial; complete with all the hipster-dev self-referential faggotry within.

I just wanted to fucking DRIVE and RACE without following some kind of bullshit story. And just to race online you had to get through the whole fucking YEAR-long (in-game) tutorial. Fuck that!

The only racing game I’ve enjoyed in recent years? Motorstorm Pacific Rift. Thank fuck for the RCPS3 emulator.

I tried playing FH4 at a friend's and it was genuinely the most boring shit I had to put up with, I'm so shocked Forza of all things is at the top of the genre.

Based as fuck for playing MotorStorm btw. You should absolutely go online, it makes the game 10x more fun with people just exploding and sending everyone flying across the track.

Ramiro in Forza Horizon 5 will probably make you punch a hole through your monitor then.

Speaking of Forza Horizon, I'm honestly worried whether 6 will walk the path of Forza Motorsport 8 - have a six-year delay in production due to having to "build" the game from "the ground up", and then release in a state so unfinished that calling it an open alpha would be generous. Forza Horizon games usually take on a 2-3 year release cycle, and we've heard (close to) NOTHING from PGG, T10 or Microsoft about the state of FH6.

Sounds likely I’m afraid.

On PC this year, I was looking forward to Forza Motorsport, Le Mans and Test Drive Unlimited and all three were either botched or just shit. To be honest, this was one of the main reasons I regressed with emulators as I had an epiphany brought about after paying for Le Mans.

I never imagined it would be so hard post-2019 to release PC racing games that weren’t DOA.

Also, NFS Unbound somehow managed to not kill itself after it's mixed to negative release due to the artstyle, to become an okay game, and The Crew Motorfest is doing a bit better.

TDU Solar Crown has now started giving out liveries for their weekly events, but this particular one is VERY ugly since it has Vivian's face, and it has an EV sticker on it despite this car being an ICE car:

TDU Solar Crown will be Free-to-Play this weekend on PS5:

There will be Free-to-Play weekends for XBox and PC at a later date, probably to prevent the tofu-dreg servers from overloading:

The new Tokyo Xtreme Racer will be releasing Early Access on January 23, and is aiming for a full release later this year. Half of the game's story line will be available in the Early Access release.

Update 16 for FM2023 focuses heavily on BMWs:

Wow, never expected a remake of TXR. Hope it's not just a simple remake and it improves upon the fun arcade street racing formula with quirky gangs and wanderers with their respective character bios.

I enjoyed FH4, probably because I've never played Forza since Forza 3. I think it spoiled me with what to expect with racing games. Open world, rewind feature, abundance of cars, photorealistic scenery, arcade handling. I couldn't get into FH5 because of the cheesy writing and bland world.

I've been playing NSF: Payback. I'm enjoying it because of the cheesy story.

The Crew 2 is really comfy for me, I can spend a mindless hour driving coast to coast.

I don't know if there even is anything you can improve on the formula of the series. TXR3 basically was the pinnacle for a good selection of vehicles, expansive customization features, and tuning capabilities it offered. Looks like this recent title will do more or less the same as what the previous installments did before but with very souped up graphics past the Xbox 360.

It even plays similarly to how Import Tuner Challenge did! Just get rid of the static camera, it makes the gameplay look a little rough.
