Well, there was an interracial couple. So, in a way, they were protesting Chris' beliefs and reminding him that he will die alone.

Chris has kinda grown out of all that,he's become the very thing he once fought against (kinda) and we haven't heard any casual racism from him since what? The start of the tomgirl saga?


Granted it probably would have been better if he just came out of the closet (for reals) and admitted he was a sexually repressed homo living in the shadow of a pair of hick homophobes.

I have to disagree on that. The guy knows no one believes him and goes out trying to catch him.
Chris sits on his ass while roleplaying as a god that can shapeshift into Sonic while in a sexual relationship with imaginary friends while insisting Sonic will be showing up any day now.
And the old guy is technically right in the end. Chris talks to thin air and believes it's a flesh and blood creature.
One's the local alien conspiracist.

Back during the early ‘aughts, there was a huge culture war going on between the Sonic and Mega Man fandoms within creative communities; everyone either had a Robot Master/NetNavi/Maverick OC or a Hedgehog/Blazehog one. The most common insult the MM guys would throw at the Sanic guys was “yeah well at least we don’t have as many furries”.

Dude furries have shat up, figuratively and literally, gaming-centric communities for over two decades. One of my ex-furfag artist friends left the Pokemon group he was affiliated with because it started attracting babyfur diaperfags who only wanted to commission fetish porn. Gay diaper fetish porn. He immediately realized where his life was headed and promptly re-enrolled at AIP (way before it was shut down) and got an actual fucking job as an animator. The only good thing about furries worming their way into these fandoms are their willingness to spend outrageous amounts of money on niche fetish art which helped keep most of these artists afloat.

I only ever found out about the Sonic games in detail via the internet since nobody I knew before then had a Genesis so my earliest impressions of that franchise were skewed heavily from associations with some of the most wack-a-doo individuals on the internet.

I doubt it. Like the attraction sign, I think someone told Chris recycling his navy was dumb, so he stopped doing it. Last time, he was okay with freezing it, now that he is quite possibly shooting blanks, he treats the Fanta meme like a defining characteristic.
