Containment Random Chris Updates

While I agree he's not schizophrenic in the clinical sense, I think his acute level of autism produces some sort of break with reality more akin to a 4 year old.
I don't think he sees cartoons around him, but I think he very strongly imagines them. And that's good enough for Chris to prove their existence.

I dunno... he literally said he even tried to see if he could get someone else to see his discord hallucination. That makes me believe this goes beyond childish pretending. This could potentially be something similar to schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder. At the very least, this isn't explained by autism alone, that's for damn sure.

Yeah, so okay he believes there's are alternate universes; lot's of people believe that.
He thinks his characters can contact him; uh okay, we can chalk that up to autism.
He told Doopie he could literally bend paper with the power of his mind waves; he thinks he has actual control over this world, on top of all the other stuff? Yeah he's losing grip on reality, I think someone needs to help him understand what's real and what's not.

Fucking called it. Kinda sorta. Chris has now gone loopy for Uzume.

Side-note - I was particularly puzzled by Chris singling out someone or thing called Uzume as important in the OP, so I do a bit of Googling, and I find this - my italics.

'A dreamer girl who fights alone in a spirited way in order to save the Zero Dimension. She appears to be a tomboy in her human form, but in her Goddess form, she is much girlier.'

Hmm, yeah. I think I see why Chris thinks she's so great, among which.

So she's now actually sharing Chris's body. Well, according to him. The 'go fuck yourself' jokes just write themselves.

On a more serious note, whether or not his ramblings are indicative of mental deterioration, they are becoming more alarmingly obsessive and solipsistic.

Also, 'Magi-Chan teleported over here and psychically scanned my Dreamcast' needs to be added to the random header text generator.

"I've helped. I was the Catcher's Mit behind the created portal Chris made".

...Holy hell. For anyone unclear, that line was said by Discord, an MLP villain-turned-sorta-ally capable of reality bending, and Chris must have known he drew him to look like a log of shit because he had him explain what he did in dialogue AS IT HAPPENED IN THAT PANEL. Dissecting this single line offers a lot of insight, honestly. It shows how bad Chris is at show-not-tell, it shows his need to explain things in a way that makes more sense in his head, it shows his redundancy (created portal Chris made), it shows his need to shoehorn specific terms when more generic terms would do (Why does it have to be a Catcher's Mit and not just a Baseball Mitt or even a net?) and it also shows Chris referring to himself as Chris in the comic, or at least allowing Discord to do so since apparently this is all real events and Chris thinks Sonichu is a documentary/autobiography now.

Oh God, don't tell me you're suggesting Chris got into A Hat in Time.
No I was suggesting that Steven Universe game. It's if the early Paper Mario games had a television license and didn't spiral out of control. However.... My research shows he didn't do anything on PSN. Fatty might've been shuddering in anticipation of the mighty Hexbox and it's green glory.

i don't think he's losing grip on reality, he's just never had a strong grasp
i know i'm repeating myself but i'll toss my idea out again...
children tend to have strong but not varied imaginations, they see something, they think of it, they think it's real.
when you grow up, the imagination is less strong but turns into a tool you can use to predict, plan, and create.

chris never grew up in this sense.
add to that his desire for wish fulfillment, and his ability to take the smallest thing and twist it into something big.
you get a guy who thinks because he felt something, it must have been real. you get a guy who thinks because a piece of paper flapped in the wind after staring at it, he must have a 3rd eye.

chris is a guy who continues with trains of illogical thought after most people would stop because he needs to believe in something in his sad life. most people might wake up from a day dream of flying or some other power with "huh, imagine if i could do that". chris would go through the same thing except end with "I FELT IT; IT MUST BE TRUE; IN DA CARTOON WORLD; AMONG WHICH"

As an academic exercise, I wonder how much Chris can mentally regress?

We're going to find it out, I guess. As long as Chris has his broadband connection.

Makes me wonder, if Barb's constitution has enormously deteriorated over the last weeks and if this is the main cause for his regress. He wants to be the little girl boy he once was - with caring parents (or at least Bob), no worries and "friends" Bob used to pay for being tolerant towards him.

That, things we don't know about and Jessica dumping him.

Whatever Chris has, it goes beyond just simple autism. In fact, I always thought one of the tenants was a lack of fanciful thinking.

I think it would be neat if he gets gets a new kind of dissociative disorder named after him. CWCaphrenia?
