AnOminous did a pretty good explanation for this that I can't remember verbatim, but basically autists ARE capable of emotions. It's just they come off as robotic because their frontal lobes are so incomplete (MRI scans have showed almost zero activity happening in the areas used for personal engagement) that they don't honestly know how to express most emotions. At least in a normal way. We know that OPL can express anger pretty.....humorously.
As for sadness, the only valid evidence we have is the Bob crying video, and the Nathaniel Greene elementary recordings of his screams, but we will never know....
