Containment Random Chris Updates

I get that Chris is saying stupid stuff...but I want to know what he was hoping it was saying... I kinda feel like whatever Chris had intended to say would have drawn more lawls than whatever the "troll" came up with.

Oh geez, he did mention something about a "poster" for his client and that Japanese word salad picture does look pretty poster-like.
I agree. He mentioned he had a "commission" to work on while he was strolling about in his mind trying to sort out some pickly-wicklies or whatever he had last week. I'm going to guess this is it. "It's for a bilingual education class and we want to use an anime style to interest the kids in the class/program/[insert word used in gimmick] ... I can supply you with the Japanese translations...."

Chris's Patreon has taken a hit, decreasing from $647 to $491.

One of his customers cancelled a pledge after not receiving a book or shipping update from Chris.

He probably already lost his money to Chris anyway, since this is after he said he would be implementing up-front charging. At least the guy realized he didn't want to gamble any further on getting his stuff.

Did we get confirmation they're paying Chris? Because this isn't "paid behavior". If you pay chris, that becomes work to him. He hates work, he wants to get it done as sloppily and hastily as possible. This isn't paid behavior, he's getting hints from someone and incorporating them into his happy place. If you need to see what "paid behavior" looks like just look at his actual paid videos. I'm sure you forgot about them since they're extremely boring, I don't blame you.
Whoever this is somehow got "in" with him. Hard to tell if it's that guy posing as his latest/ex GF or some other mysterious entity, but whoever it is, we don't know.
Another good point exactly! We dunno if this is confirmed paid, and while it reeks of sweetheart card, all we know is that someone got this close to him to have him do all this stupid shit without a second thought. Even the translation thing was a simple google, and Chris decided not to bother and humiliate himself(at least until people were tearing on him to the point he removed his art).
If it was a galpal or whatever, Chris would've made it obvious by having his heart level back up to 100%. Chris wouldn't do this shit for a platonic friend. It's probably some ween who somehow has a connection to Chris (like Waterman's autistic friend) and he is getting paid to do it.

I agree, but with one correction: if you pay/forcibly coerce Chris into doing something he doesn't like to do, he becomes very pissy, overly whiny about it and completely no-asses it (As in not even trying). Check the paid video requests page on the CWCki, you can easily see when he is annoyed with some requests, and when he is happy to oblige others.

But if you pay him for something he likes to do anyways, like singing or his comics, he becomes surprisingly diligent in delivering shitty content (that is, shitty despite him trying), like we're seeing from the consistent Patreon updates, and the prompt delivery of those ween singing requests.

Chris is a child in many ways, and this is simply one of them ways.

Im still honestly surprised people are even giving this guy money. Hasn't it already been established that giving Chris money is equal to just tossing it down the Rio Grande?

Some people just honestly want to be a part of Christory so badly that they do stupid things. What they don’t realize is we are all a part of Christory by just being here.... watching.

Or people long for the days of old Chris. Where we got rage videos and leaked emails of Chris trying to sext a troll. But those days are gone now. Mainly because Chris is learning. Slowly for sure and not always the correct thing. But learning nonetheless.

Yeah, pretty much. Some people are severely autistic and think that paying Chris to do some half-assed drawing or a stupid unfunny Youtube video makes them part of Christory. So yes, some people are willing to shell out $50 for a 30 second Youtube video that no one will remember in 2 days or for a shitty drawing that they'll never be able to show anybody.

Also, paying Chris for a commission makes one as much a part of Christory as tweeting him "You are stupid" does.

Chris is busy. Them vidya games don't play themselves. Either that or he spent the money and can't cover the shipping cost.

But ~$500 was where his Patreon was at during the months before issue #12 was released. I mentioned some time ago that his +$600 Patreon was probably a bubble because some people just wanted a paper copy of #12. But it's at least part Chris' fault that he's back to his summer numbers because he didn't even bother trying to keep his patrons happy.

Edit: I just remembered the songs he's singing, I guess at $50 a pop, and the commission. I guess there's a sucker born every minute.

How can someone be interested in Japanese animation for over a decade, yet know nothing of the language (besides "kawaii")?

Credit where credit's due, he did use 'daisuki' in Jiggliami's ripped-off song, so unless that was in the original and he just blindly copied it, he might know one or two cutesy anime-related words on the 'kawaii' level. But that's all.

:offtopic: - I've just realised. Jiggliami. As in 'all that she's good for is jiggling'. Real depth of characterisation there.
