Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

If we assume Barb is senile enough that she couldn’t consent, (which I’m personally still a little doubtful of,) are there powers at the disposal of the authorities to convince her to cooperate.
I'm highly doubtful of her being senile given the fact that Barb's a liar par excellence. She may be crazy but she's not incompetent. She's smart enough to be a master manipulator, but crazy enough to to think threatening her "loved"ones with suicide is a reasonable reaction to being asked to clean up her mountains of trash.

As for if there's anyway to convince her to cooperate with police I doubt it. This is the woman who has had multiple altercations some physical with police.

What would be the use of her cooperation if she couldn't testify?

A lot of old people in borderline ill health go downhill really fast after some major trauma. She's been raped and been in a major crash, and raped by her caretaker, so lost her caretaker too.

I have questions.

If Barb was senile (I don’t believe it either; at least not to the extent that it was debilitating), why did the hospital allow her to go home by herself after The Incident? I know there’s a limit to keeping people in hospitals against their wills in the US, but still. It seems like she just went home and got on with her life until the accident in November forced her family to step in. So does her immediate release prove she was suitably cognizant?

If Barb told authorities “My kid did nothing!” could they still arrest and jail Chris? There have been cases of domestic violence in which the perpetrator went free because the victim wouldn’t press charges. Would authorities need her?

It's pretty interesting how quickly police worked when they put Barb under EPO and within a day arrested Chris. I guess they found evidence. More to your point. I too would like to know why Barb wasn't kept in the hospital longer. You could be right about her being cognizant.

If the "my kid nothing" went into effect, then Chris wouldn't have been arrested. I think in order to make their case, they'd need Barb. This whole case gets weirder and weirder.

Because unless she's literally just going to wander off into traffic immediately or drive into a wall or a schoolbus, they can't really do anything. And there isn't money to do anything either even if they were legally allowed to. There are plenty of senile people out and about, driving and walking around, at varying levels of lucidity.

That's the main reason I think there really is evidence. These cops have dealt with utter bullshit from weens for over a decade and they are hardened to this shit. They do not arrest from some cockamamie story on the Internet. That isn't probable cause. It was just the minimal cause they needed actually to investigate at all. Obviously they found something more and almost immediately.

Plus her caretaker was Chris.

It’s a serious low point for anyone to find that their caretaker is a person so unable to care for themselves to the extent that an internet cult grew up around them.

I just wish we knew what it was, I know they likely found that book he got, but I am wondering what else they found, my personal guess is they found used Condoms or something Chris has thrown into the rubbish but not taken out with his DNA on one side and Barbs on the other, or something equally as vile.

My completely speculative theory based on the letters is Chris went in feeling smug thinking that the sex healing claim would get him off the hook if his tried and tested autism card didn’t work first like it always had done in the past.

Also dementia and other mental conditions have a slow cognitive decline (Sometimes dementia is called ’The long goodbye’ ) where instead of the cliche of forgetting who people are they first forget how to do basic things they previously did know, in Barb’s case potentially the reason for her car accident.

It really doesn’t seem like Barb cooperated with authorities in the slightest.

Whether it's because Barb won't cooperate, or isn't competent to make a statement, or whatever, the prosecution seems to be limiting themselves to the bare minimum charges they can absolutely nail Chris on.

Consent, and therefore rape, can be tricky even when the victim isn't a cantankerous, mad, possibly senile old bitch, but consensual or not, Chris definitely is a motherfucker. And that's definitely illegal.

Once they had something over Chris they could use to send him to a tard home far far away, why complicate things with more charges and Barb's shenanigans? Remember, they don't care about punishing Chris. They just want him to go away and never come back.

Hello, i am looking for the artist of the painting, and would like to buy it. Who are you, and thank you.

Do we have a rough estimate at the amount of inheritance money Chris might receive when Barb kicks the bucket?

Would he receive any? Does Barb owe the banks more than her assets? If not, is the rest split between Cole and his more famous half brother?
To be honest, I barely know what I'm talking about. I'm gonna try to make a guess though.

>Would he receive any?
I think he will. If she dies while he's in jail, according to Google he apparently can still receive the money.
>Does Barb owe the banks more than her assets?
I'd probably say so. I have no idea how much.
>If not, is the rest split between Cole and his more famous half brother?
This is kinda the interesting part. IIRC Barbara and Cole don't have a very good relationship, but whether or not she would still list his name on her will is something we can only guess. For Barbara, she has to choose between "man I haven't talked to in over a decade & I'm still angry at" or "my own son that fucked me, probably against my will". Or, considering how senile she is, she might just not have or will never write a will at all.

Is she?

It’s not senility that will bite Chris in the ass. It’s the famed Weston Laziness.

People talk about all this in the Future of the House thread if you want to dive in and get more information.

Does it matter? Even in the best case scenario, Chris will only piss it all away on Some Lego, ending up with nothing. Most lottery winners end up broke. What chance does Chris have?

Chris doesn't need money. Chris needs someone to manage his money instead of him (which Chris will hate - bonus).

Any inheritance money Chris could've had access to was tied to Bob. Which Barb spent all of it. When Barb dies, the only thing Chris will inherit will be a smelly hoard, if it hasn't been donated/thrown away already.

Nope. Like Chris, Barb's debt is high, and doesn't know how to save. Keep in mind Cole wants nothing to do with Barb and has had no contact with her since he moved out decades ago. Now that there's technology to easily communicate, one would think Cole would want to re communicate with Barb through Chris via twitter, but clearly Cole doesn't want to.

Anyone see this yet? Triple checked with a search to make sure it hasn't come up yet and didn't find shit, so apologies if I'm being a retard.

Fuckin' dude lost the thing though, jesus christ.
I have to admit, it's decent. I wonder what Snoop would think of it?
