I really think the only shitty thing that Bob ever did was run away to the other side of the state just so Chris wouldn't get "locked up in an asylum". That just proved that Bob was a selfish piece of shit but at least he still tried to be a half decent parent otherwise.

Why does it prove that he is a selfish piece of shit? He spent his late 60's and early 70's basically being a single father to his special needs son, so he could get the education that Bob thought was best for him.

It involved spending a lot of extra time, money and effort for Chris. Even if you think that was the wrong decision, I don't think it can be criticized on the grounds of Bob being selfish.

I think he meant he was being selfish in that he was probably thinking 'no son of mine is goin' in the loony bin! what would people think of me?'.

Very old way of thinking that would line up with Bob's age. My grandpa was more or less the same.

He was selfish because he didn't care that Chris really needed special help in school. Bob put his own interests over his special needs child.

Borb certainly paid the price for their shitty parenting when Chris got himself kicked out of college for trying to whore himself out on campus. Watch the Christmas video from back then and it becomes very clear from Chris's idiotic and infantile behavior that Borb realized they fucked up and now they were stuck taking care of a retarded manbaby for the rest of their lives.

Believable. I mean, we did have someone who dug through his fucking garbage for old homework. Like seriously, paying hundreds to buy and ship a laptop just to maybe hack Chris? I know Chris's autistic, but he isn't technologically illiterate. He's proven have decent knowledge when it comes to computers. Hell, he has a degree based on work done on computers.
