Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

It hit me today that Chris doesn't seem to have any real attachment to Halloween. Does this strike anyone else as odd? With all the things from his childhood he's held onto over the years, why not this one? Getting free candy for zero effort seems right up his alley as an adult. Was trick or treating not part of the Chandler experience growing up or does he recognize (for once) that it would be inappropriate for him to participate?
I think it had to do with Borb not wanting to have to supervise their little autist and have to deal with either Chris inevitably throwing a tard fit for not getting all the candy he wanted/not getting any candy from certain houses or having parents possible question them about their boy.

As for Chris not trick-or-treating now, well GAS IS EXPENSIVE, Chris is lazy and Barb won't let him out of the house.

^ that was exactly my theory on why Chris never brings up Halloween. I figured they tried it once during the screaming years and once was enough.

Did anyone else just picture Chris squeezing himself into his old Ash Ketchum outfit and trying to trick or treat around his neighborhood? :cryblood:

I think it was in another thread the possibility that the neighborhoods Chris lived in probably didn't have many kids around, so trick-or-treating wouldn't yield much anyway.

Considering his desire to be a tomgirl I think he'd try to go as Misty instead... And I feel a little sick now.

Thank you for that horrifying visual. Excuse me, I have to go bleach my brain.

Halloween would require Chris to have dozens of micro-relations with people in a single outing. Given his paranoia, his sensitivity to criticism, his impatience, his anger management issues, and his inability to interpret emotions, he would not be capable of trick-or-treating now, and much less capable as a child. Plus think of all those wasted hours when he could be playing video games.

**~~tomboy girl~~**
I'll get the packing tape, we've found yet another idea of what to send to 14bc :julay:
Edit: Holy shit!!! Why are two heads missing?!?! :cryblood:

Since it's safe to say his meeting(s?) with the hooker was/were all business, it's very likely that Chris will go his whole life without ever kissing a woman.

Kind of random, but I was playing silent hill downpour yesterday, and I came across a little poem in the game that reminded me of OPL:

Poor little Steven Skelter
Even the chaplain won't forgive you.
Forever lies, your pleading cries
But Suzy knows you felt her.
Nowhere left for you to run,
Every fault laid bare in the open.
Along with your skin, splayed out from within,
Once the monster has his fun.
Take heed, it's not too late,
Mistakes needn't haunt you forever.
Though you have regret, you can't just forget,
You alone decide your fate.

What is it about Barb that made Chris think she's a tomboy? I mean I know it's probably been years since she's worn anything even remotely feminine, but I don't see why he'd jump to that conclusion. 'Tism aside.

I think she told him she was.

Because she is a strong, loud woman who orders him around? As opposed to being shy, sweet and quiet, I mean.

I don't know where to put this so i put it here...

Is there a torrent or link somewhere with all/most/alot of/some of Chris Chan's antics? Like, in a batch or something? I have this thing in mind

That would require a grabber programme and alot of time... So i was hoping for a batch of some sort. (:_(

With all of the trading card games he played, why did Chris never try his hand at Magic: The Gathering? Surely it was readily available at the PLACe, in fact I am pretty sure that I saw some promotional materials for the game in the pictures people took of him there. In any event, I'm not sure if I'm pissed off that he didn't see my game as good enough to ruin, or I'm relieved that something I love so much wasn't ruined. :?

This was already covered just a few pages back i think, or, rather speculated.

Sometimes I wonder if Chris has watched "Catfish" or read anything about how to be more certain people he talks to online are genuine. I wonder if he knows that people are finding their SOs online more and more these days. I feel like if Chris were just more persistent about insisting the people (especially gal pals) he talks to online go on video, refusing after a certain time period to let the subject go ignored, a lot of his problems wouldn't exist in the first place. I feel like if he re-approached the internet with a clear set of rules, as autistic people tend to favor that kind of thing, he wouldn't have to come off as a paranoid simpleton when he demands "In Person Meetings Only; Online Socialization is Out".

Chris has tried stuff like that. It's just that we're much smarter than him and always ended up trolling him.
