Assuming he knows how to navigate the Social Security bureaucracy, Chris will keep his tugboat. More likely whatever "special adults" home he is placed in will do that for him, but keep the tugboat for themselves as the price for putting up with Chris. Chris' days of "some lego" are probably over.

Long term or short term? The way I read the law, the court is required (or at least required to make the attempt for thirty days) to find more or less permanent housing for Chris (permanent, that is, until Chris fucks it up). That says to me "adult foster home" (or even more managed care) than "shelter".
That said, regardless of where he's eventually placed, I see a lot of time in shelters in Chris' future.
