The new jail drawings are very interesting in multiple ways. They continue to be, although certainly not “good”, distinctly better technically. They look like they were done by an adult with no artistic skills but they lack a certain bizarreness that older drawings had that I can’t quite define. The perspective and scale of all of the objects drawn are not so wildly incongruous as they were before. The change is noticeable enough that I genuinely wonder if it’s the result of being on proper medication consistently for the first time in his life and mitigating some of the autism symptoms a little bit. They’re still not good drawings but they look less like they were made by a literal child.

The conversation with his past self also feels like something that may have been inspired by conversations with some sort of professional too. The Merge nonsense is still there, but I’m not aware of Chris ever seeming so aware of basically every past romantic interest being a troll. I thought he still believed that some of them were real in some sense.

This could be due to the fact that he's restricted to just a pen. The way he usually colors his recolors gives them a distinctly childish look, like something you'd see pinned to a fridge door, so his jail art just appears a bit more mature in contrast.

I took that as Chris was talking to his past self and at the end was talking about how he'll have dodged a bullet by that time period, although it is odd Chris describes his love life as "self" even though Magi-chan and the rest of his fictional lovers are supposed to be real beings? The past self seems concerned about current day Chris, a rare bit of self reflection maybe?

Also it's a dumb detail but I find it interesting Chris STILL cares about past accusations of homophobia.

I can't say I'm thrilled with Praetor being the only ones with access to Chris now. They're pretty much just smarter idea guys, instead of feeding Chris's delusions for abuse and extortion, they realized they could profit long term from manipulating Chris as long as they didn't push things too far.

Not that I particularly care about Chris being taken advantage of anymore, but it still affects the content we get from Chris, both in terms of accessibility and quality. I suppose I'm a Chris purist but I always find that Chris is funnier when he's spouting bullshit that he thought of by himself free from manipulation. Also, who knows what funny or even incriminating shit Praetor isn't releasing to the public because they want to protect their golden goose. I highly doubt that all that was exchanged between them was the artwork.

He learned that this is a way to get attention, for better or worse.
Chris a boy so desperately lonely he never had a male friend in his life, his female friends paid for like prostitutes. In retrospect Megan is a person who just happened to be in the same social/hobby group and tolerated it for as long as she could. Anna Mclaren, arguably Chris' only real friend and possibly the only person to regularly go out of her way to defend him from others in a healthy objective way moved the fuck away from him.
Chris wanted social interaction, he learned this would give it to him.
I understand this is a little simplistic, but what else logically explains any of this for a person who we know is literally not retarded. Autistic, potentially other mental illnesses sure.
Chris was not retarded, even people one step above this function can register patterns. It is required of us. Chris would have died without this ability years ago.

Just because nobody has released any letters publicly. it doesn't mean that nobody has been writing to him, Chris himself has said that he has written to 60+ people and we've only ever got a fraction of that publicly released.
