I think Chris would at least have been more grounded if instead of enablers and trolls he spent the last few decades amongst random nerds at gaming clubs or wherever else he wanted to hang out.

Although I think society as a whole would be better off if social media didn't exist.

I feel that with the current definition of the autism, contemporary audiences, especially younger generations, may fail to grasp Chris' true and honest mental state.

I see comments on YouTube videos about CWC along the lines of: "My brother/cousin/friend/roommate has autism, and HE doesn't act like that, so Chris[tine] is just a BAD PERSON!"

What these commenters fail to understand is that Chris isn't like your accountant friend who's really good at math and maybe just a little too into trains. That's not his brand of autism.

At the time Chris was diagnosed, the term "retarded" was becoming politically incorrect, so the less offensive "autism" was used instead. And the "high functioning" modifier was added to clarify that he seemed to have his shit together just barely enough to learn to read, to hold down a menial job (maybe), learn to drive a car (if you can call it that), prepare his own meals (or at least pantomime doing so), and wipe his own ass without assistance (you know what's coming here).

I'm not saying Chris is some misunderstood angel -- just that treating him as if he's at one end of the autism spectrum when he's really at the other end misses the point.

Ah, the age-old dilemma: nature or nurture? We will never know. Even if Chris got the best parents and support for his condition, who's to say that he would have surely learned from it and made better choices? And I once read that narcissism (arguably his biggest negative trait) could be in part genetic.

I think the single biggest influence on Chris being Chris was the decision his parents made to not put him in special education, but force-mainstream him. This convinced him that he was perfectly functional as a normal person and so he didn't put any effort into curbing his autism shit, which had he been in special education, he would both have seen other kids with his kind of issues as well as better ways of handling things.

Chances are he'd still be a self-absorbed piece of shit, but the entitlement would be way down because he wouldn't be treated as much with kid gloves.

He was spending a lot of time with those people at game stores prior to the trolls, after afterwards, and still was unable to act properly. Chris seemed like an absolute horror to be around in those days like at the Game Place.

A crappy blue collar job or some place where Chris would have been punched for doing something really stupid would have been a lot better. Getting the absolute shit beat out of him is one thing that never happened. I don't even know if Borb ever did corporal punishment with him, or even spanked him as a child.

Nah Chris doesn’t chimp out anymore for whatever reason (New medication seems to be a popular suggestion as to why that is, there’s no hard evidence for that however).

That is sadly true, I think the fact he was never interested in male friendship meant he never had someone who’d feel comfortable enough to privately tell him that he shouldn’t behave in a certain way since it’s creeping people out, particularly the women he wants to attract.

im much more of a nurture over nature guy, so honestly i think that if bob and barb didnt royally fuck him in childhood he could have came out better. There is probably something innately wrong that would cause him to be at a minimum a creep, but honestly i think even before the internet started fucking with chris it was 100% on his parents

Considering who Chris is now, I would think that he believes that he's above even the Honor Roll, and that no one recognized his talent. Infinite power/wisdom does come with being a Goddess, after all.

Likely he's just bullshitting and pretending he's detransitioning for Flutter, if he is in fact doing it.

Chris isn't likely to give up something that makes him "special" and if he doesn't bring something up as often, it's either because he's gotten too lazy to do it or he's forgotten to do it in a while.
