Who the fuck knows. I'm sure Chris got at least regular baths as a child and like most boys was lazy about it as a teenager. Then he never grew out of it.

1. Kidnap and restrain Chris
2. Place a burlap sack over his head

Sometimes I wonder if Chris experienced the "Poke God" saga of 1999-2000 when the franchise was brand new. People in the 90s were dumb, and kids latched on to rumors passed on the also new internet. Marill, the water Pokemon mouse debut in Japan in 1998, well before Pokémon became the hugest fad in 1999.

The sheer existence of four Pokémon (Marill, Togepi, Donphan and Snubbell) not in the current games released led to people thinking them to be secret Poke Gods. It sparked the fan creation of others such as "Pear Duck" and other dumb autistic names.

In a way, this could have been the whole conception of Sonichu. Even my own Pokémon fanfic is based around "Secret" and mysterious things in Pokémon.

2000 Chris could very well have had his dumb beliefs verified way back then.

Okay, so I just read the Regina e-mails for the first time and I cannot really make up my mind if she's a troll or not. At times she's too on-the-nose that only Chris would not notice she's making fun of him, not to mention some of her messages in czech. But then she does speak like a normal girl doing normal girl stuff and seems somewhat interested in making a conversation and learning about America beyond just making fun of the autist man-child. What I guess is that she's somewhat on the middle: a Czech-descendant person that was interested in talking to Chris or helping him in some way and then realized he was beyond hope and began making fun of him too.
