That’s always the funny part.

“Humans are evil. They destroy the planet!”

“So why don’t you kill yourself then?”

A little bit late to reddit's AI seething, but I have created this work of art to immortalize this funny event.

REDDIT.webp

Who wouldn't have guessed a redditor could be replaced by bots without anyone noticing? Makes me wonder how much of reddit is just bots. I'm sure some of the commenters crying about their "human rights" being violated are actually bots too!

I mean yea but at least chatgpt can say 'yes that frame sounds solid enough' without giving me a lecture on the ethics and impacts of commercial lumberjacking.
Reminds me of an experience I once had with my bank (can't remember if I told this story here.) Me and my mom were trying to figure out how to turn my adolescent account into an adult account so she'd stop seeing my transactions and having control over my checking and savings accounts. The problem is that my bank's web interface is dated as fuck so we had no idea how to do it and Google wasn't helping. While I was waiting for support to get back to me I decided to ask on reddit since I noticed my bank had a very obscure but active subreddit, for some reason.

The responses I got were absolutely fucking deranged. Some of them included:
  • Many, many instances of "I don't use this bank, but..." (HOW DID YOU FIND THIS PLACE THEN)
  • Suggestions I change banks entirely
  • Multiple comments asking if I was spending money on furry porn
  • An accusation that I was trying to defraud my bank, and that they would "report my criminal behaviors"
My favorite was a guy who decided that the best solution to my problem would be to go down to my town's courthouse and file paperwork to register a fucking LLC in my name for some reason. Eventually out of the sea of hundreds of useless dipshits I got exactly one reply that actually helped but I kind of wish I had just waited for support to get back to me. What a miserable experience.

I still don't get this, the purchaser is responsible for duty if shipped directly from China to them. Just put a note on the website "this is a direct from China import, you will be responsible for any duty and will pay the shipping company" and... done. They already probably have that note for countries which have always had import duty on Chinese items.

Every time I try looking up any info on weird shit happening with figures now thanks to the current year SEO bullshit it's always reddit threads like this and never actual hobbyist forum posts. Pisses me the fuck off immensely.
Well I just think it's ridiculous since it's not like anyone actually really needs retro gaming stuff and I'm saying this as a collector myself. Not only that, they're people who play video games that are like twenty years old at a minimum.

Like the last one I saw was them seething that some Chinese Gameboy Advance clone was being delayed cause of tariffs, like just buy a fucking Gameboy SP on ebay.

If you don't see value in people being able to use several decade old physical media but consider yourself a "collector" you are perpetuating the same hellscape reddit is causing.

EDIT: I think I should be REALLY fucking clear here by "value" I am not talking about the same "value" people that squat on 30 year old hardware without any intent to ever use or repair it if it fucks up talk about. It's fucking GOOD to be able to own your own actual shit and have a physical thing you can just plug in somewhere and have it work the way it's supposed to. Every company keeps changing shit to sub service and rotating libraries as the only "legal" way to get shit so buying used copies of plentiful mass produced stuff from decades back and having it still work is a legitimately good alternative. Piracy works for some stuff, but there's certain shit emulators can't properly get right. People make ROMS to put on custom cartridges to play on old shit when worst comes to worst with some games, it's stupid to act like having your own shit and using it is a dumb/bad Idea.

real funny, the problem is that these models usually get lobotomized and have their ability to answer capped towards certain topics.
So they just become Redditors but incapable of talking about sex?
For all they like to shit on stupid boomers watching Fox News they are no different, they will happily just consume absolute slop that flies in the face of reality if it aligns with their views.
the only difference between these people and the Trump worshipping boomers they have 24/7 melties over is that Redditors don’t have a single person they can idolize and bow down in front of. The slop they consume isn’t even convincing most of the time either, it’s just garbage written by AI and Mossad agents.

We knew that reddit was 90% bots for the purposes of propaganda for years. Nice of them to come clean about it a bit, at least, I guess... :story:
I'm wondering what other subreddits are there

I check r/popular for a few minutes every day, there is nearly always a post from r/moviecritic with thousands of upvotes that's just engagement baiting, "what actor would've been better in this movie", "what movies gets praised more than it deserves" etc, that's definitely one of them.

It's just funny to me that I've had to deal with this shit in Europe since forever and the US is basically just now playing catchup and people are losing their fucking minds.
You know you can just run an emulator on a steam deck
Think the SP might be a tad cheaper than a Steam deck.
