Don't forget that bit where Jack chops Ethan's foot off with a shovel and the First Aid stuff reattaches it.

Beyond that, Ethan's an interesting protagonist because he's the first "everyman" character of the mainline RE games. A sequel showing what happens afterwards and what kind of new shenanigans he's getting into would be cool because we get to see how this kind of shit affects normal people as opposed to the superheroes that the other RE characters turn into.
 
didn't like VII all that much but VIII looks interesting. Hope it's less linear and has some actual puzzles.

Ethan will turn out be Spencer's clone or some shit, I'm calling it

I like the trailer. I wonder what umbrella did this time. Also omg, wolf-enemies! I hope they include other animals too like bears.
 
RE8 looks fucking awesome, man I wish I could play it now.

It's great to see Capcom return to the whole Gothic castle motif as seen in games like Code Veronica, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil 4 and Haunting Ground, I missed it, I hope we see more Haunting Ground esque stuff like the room with the creepy dolls and the room with the creepy marionettes.

As for story speculation, a lot to chew over, I saw the Umbrella logo, so I'm guessing this might have something to do with the Spencer family? Maybe the weird retro thicc chick is a Spencer matriarch?

And did Chris just kill Mia? What is going on?

I pretty much called this by the way, I always assumed after 7 that the obvious next thing to do was to take that new first person style and put it in a more traditional Gothic Resident Evil setting and that's exactly what they've done and I love it.

I didn't however see werewolves coming, it's a bit surprising that they've already moved away from the Molded in 7, although not disappointing, as while that was interesting it wasn't interesting enough to want to see another game about it, it's probably best for this series to have every new game revolve around some new threat rather than repeat things to keep it fresh.
 
Seeing as to what the trailer has shown, one can only wonder: will they expand on why @The Dude is in some random ass village with a creepy castle overlooking it? Is he still out to get a new rug after all these years?

Mia's actually some sort of advanced bio-weapon related to the well-dressed lady from the trailer
Mia's still an agent for the mysterious group behind Eveline from RE7, and well-dressed lady may be part of that same group
Mia's still infected with something, and Chris couldn't take any chances since Mia's been infected way longer and was more or less a patient 0 or similar for Eveline
Mia was in Chris's way in continuing the Redfield line since Leon's being a dick and Ethan may as well be the only one left for it

Assuming it is her, one could also assume some shit like "CLONES" or they just make her like Carla: some rando evil science lady that got plastic surgery to resemble someone.

Alfred and Alexia were clones of Veronica. All that said, if they managed to get tied to this game, one can only wonder what Capcom will write to justify using them.

Is alfred really a clone if he male and the oringal person was female.

I would assume having A XY rarther then 2 X's would make it no longer a clone.

Maybe I am just looking too deep into a game series about the aftermath of a pharm company turned Bio weapons Company that Claim to fame is Zombies, and other monsters that are mostly just accidents.
