I really wish I could love the game. The RPD section is solid, even though I think there should be more zombies or other enemies in it. It's a reoccurring problem I think the game has. There's hardly anything in the small boring lab. Only two Lickers? And it's not even the advanced version? Did we really need several Ivys over them?
I lost interest in the sewer of Remake 2. Just slowly stopped playing until one day, I just deleted the game from my PS4. Maybe i’ll try my hand at it again or buy it cheap on Steam.

Funny how i was able to complete Remake 3 without any problem yet stopped playing Remake 2.

The sewers aren't completely awful but the fact we have this nonsense sinkhole and the cable car is right next to the turn table is so irritating. The game really falls apart immediately upon leaving the RPD.

Capcom probably took their time with RPD because that is what everyone remembers and wanted to sell the game on memberberries.

That's pretty much the only change in B route, and they're both upgrades to the normal ones.
They are. And Claire using the SAA is fine, but I prefer the VP70 with Leon. But the 1911 is higher power. Just not as fun imo.

Whenever I play the OG I always kill Brad for the key to the SAA with Claire.

There's been studies that most people play a game an hour and stop. That would be just the RPD then.

I get about as far as the first zombie you encounter after the subway section, kill it with the knife, then turn it off.

Then I demand my friend remove it from his computer and get a refund.
I tried really hard to find some semblance of enjoyment in that piece of shit and it's no where to be found. It's just fucked up from every direction.

I would have still disliked it but felt way less pissed off if 3make had been sold as a $20 expansion for REmake2 than what we got. It's wildly incompetent and a step back in every way from the original and its predecessor. Incredible.
Nemesis being my favorite game of the series, I took it especially offensive in every way possible.

Carlos was an objective improvement, and keeping Tyrell was cool. But otherwise from top to bottom, it's abysmal.

I think a lot of players would understand how terrible it is, if the original trilogy was on modern consoles. Not everyone emulates.

A full price game is somehow shorter than an expansion pack back in the day. Sad.

I always found a tad unfair to call the original RE3 an expansion pack for RE2 since it has a lot that makes it stand out but I legit know in my heart that this is what RE3make is to the second one. They removed so many locations, bosses, monsters and guns from the game and dont get me started on the complete ruination of Nemesis with the meh redesign and the fucking were-xeno transformation.

RE3 really sold you how fucked and dying Raccoon City was, almost like the city had zombified too. They showed you various locations while the remake was like, "eh, you get a clocktower cameo, its all I can do."

I tried it again after a few years several months ago. I got to NEST 2 (lol) and deleted it. It's still shocking to me how phoned in it was. They claimed it took three years to make IIRC... yeah no... you got a team together and slapped it together in under a year from 2make's release.

Which is ironic given the original RE3 had a dev time of under a year, and brought in several revolutionary features in the series. I didn't realize this till very recently, but it's the first game with a quick turn.

I can go on and on why I fucking hate trashbag dress Noseisis. It's just so tonedeaf to what he's supposed to be. It doesn't follow the lore of the Nemesis parasite at all with his evolution. He becomes the tentacle version because his limiter coat burned off, so the parasite mutates a bit since it's no longer being hindered. And it's form at the end of the game is more or less the parasite itself in the husk of what's left of his body.

Then you look at the shitty remake. He turns into a dog because Californian Capcom devs thought it looked cool. And then he turns into this Deadspace monster because again, some faggot developer thought it looked cool.

Nemesis encounters are boiled down to scripted chase sequences down hallways and even if you tangle with him, you can drop him on a single grenade and never need to confront him. And that's when you're not beating him in fake gameplay segments where you just hold UP on the controller to end the ghey QTE.

As for the cuts, here's a comprehensive list of everything I can name off the top of my head.

Uptown is completely removed and replaced with a forced walking section that looks like you'll end up at the RPD. But I assume this was cut due to time/budget w/e.

Downtown is turned into a unrecognizable hub instead of a back alley and street segment with fucking neon lights everywhere like Reno.

The sub station is turned into a Temu Drain Deimos colony where on their own they're not a threat at all.

Brain Suckers are gone.

Web Spinners are gone.

Grave Digger is gone.

Hunter Beta are some weird Grave Digger like mix with how their mouths' are.

Jill doesn't go to the RPD.

Brad isn't killed by Nemesis.

The opening factory is just a walkthrough.

The parking garage is a walkthrough.

The bar is just a walkthrough.

The boutique is gone.

The Clock Tower is gone.

The Park is gone.

City Hall is gone.

The press office is gone.

The Dead Factory is gone.

The gas station is a cutscene.

Live selections are gone.

First Aid Spray carrying case is gone.

Nearly every puzzle from the original is gone.

The Eagle 6.0, Western Custom, Mine Thrower (I know about the mine rounds for the nade launcher), Colt Python, Enhanced Ammo, Freeze Rounds all gone and the Samurai Edge is a gun you can't get on your own.

What makes me wonder what happened or what went on behind the scenes is that (correct me if I'm wrong) the zombie damage system is different too. I think I recall trying to kneecap zombies to stagger them and either it didn't proc compared to REmake2 or didn't feel the same? The physics and damage on them was definitely nerfed/not implemented properly either which blows my mind since... it's right there... just copy and paste the fucking code bro what the fuck.

The game starts off pretty decently as far as I'm concerned and then shits the bed right after the cavalcade of cutscenes and QTEs end because you realise quickly, oh... oh no this is it. This is all we're getting.

Oh shit I forgot about that. Yeah the head explosions aren't present (at least off the top of my head, I just remember the gore mechanics were heavily toned down). I give 2make shit but the gore was fantastic. And many of the zombies operate on stuttering frame rates when there's a lot of them. The only time I noticed that was in the prison basement in 2make when they all come out of the cells after the fuse puzzle.

It really makes no sense it takes steps backward on a engine that is already completed. I really can't wrap my mind around why it was done so shittly and Capcom will never spill that info.

So many retards thinks Capcom will do a director's cut patch. Nigga, that game is long in their rear view mirror. Even if they did. Nemesis is still complete trash and Jill is a cunt. They couldn't even be asked to complete 2make, based on one of the most successful games of the series... you think they're going to patch a 5 year old game that wasn't nearly as big?

I mean they clearly shat it out on the success of REmake 2, so they scrambled it. I don't think 4 did that amazingly, because the original was so well loved it had a few update mods and was honestly still fine with a few mods to keep it working nicely on modern systems.

Yeah, the physics for damaging zombies was altered to have less depth. Limb damage and gradual dismemberment are now gone. Head explosions are present, but will only happen with critical hits, which were also altered. Handgun-type weapons have a higher chance of scoring a decapitation than shotguns, despite that making zero sense. It's possible to get zero head explosions with a shotgun in an entire playthrough.

Talking about zombie physics reminded me of the hospital siege with Carlos. The RE Engine couldn't handle that many persistent corpses in a single area, so the developers altered the death animations, making zombies disappear in tiny red explosions accompanied by 'sploorch' sound effects. Super weird and immersion breaking. It also made me question why the devs would even include a zombie siege if they knew it didn't play to their engine's strengths.
