I'm the biggest supporter of recycling assets if it means getting games more quickly. Just seems a waste to spend all that time modelling just to never use it again.
Elden Ring might've taken an extra few years to release if FromSoft didn't recycle that same skeleton headpat animation for the 50th time lmao.

Storywise, yeah, RE never put out something "amazing". The story works best when it's just facilitating more bullshit, for better or worse. (RE5's underground African Mayan temple lmao)
Personally I think it works best when it keeps the scale small/"grounded" (Mansion, urban environment). I think RE4 instilled a blueprint for success but also imbibed some bad lessons. The focus on scale and varied environments often lead to contrivance.
 
It's kind of endearing how every single final boss battle in the entire franchise is just 'giant gelatinous blob that used to be a person with big glowing boobs you have to shoot at to kill it' now, but it's also really fucking uncreative and old hat at this point. C'mon, guys, we really can't think of anything fucking new or at least unique from a mechanics standpoint?

That is so fucking cheap and sleezy, its LITERALLY the same model as the Nemesis Final Boss form in RE3R, which makes NO FUCKING SENSE, as it was a Tyrant infected with a Nemesis Parasite that fused with a ton of bodies because of acid.

it makes no sense that he'd attain the exact same form (same fucking MODEL even) and that's the FINAL FUCKING BOSS to a RE9

I'm officially sunk on this game fellas, its a total asset flip wash.

not really, Miranda, Simmons, and Saddler are not big blobs, Revelations 1 is a cool Marine themed Tyrant with psuedo teleporting, and RE5 is just Wesker with black tendrils.
 
Capcom spent so much fucking marketing and effort pushing this game only to fucking reuse Tyrant Mr. X, Nemesis and even the new Wesker Model, and likely fucking more, I'd bet.
what a fucking nightmare, there's "Memberberries" and then there's asset flipping and this is asset flipping, I can't imagine buying this fucking game now.
 
does RE 9 have a mercenaries mode that is on the hype level of RE5 No Mercy Mercenaries mode at least? thats the real value of the RE games anyway

This is the funniest shit on earth. I honestly hope it's canon because its so amusing. Leon went full vampire immortal and just said fuck it to screw over Chris. Its kinda shockingly based.

It’s certainly new to completely asset flip a final boss lol. The final bosses of RE7, RE2 remake, and RE3 remake were all pretty similar but at least they were kinda different. This genuinely feels like an insult.

No, there's no bonus mode of any kind. With any luck they might add one as free DLC like with 4 to artificially inflate the game's relevance and shelf-life.

You kept buying remakes and shitting on the new games with new characters and ideas so now you get Leon kickflipping over Mr. X for the rest of eternity. I.E. RE bros get what they deserve.
